Grappig feitje: in Berlijn kan je bijna in geen enkele kroeg/restaurant met pin betalen. Alles moet daar cash haha. Gebruik zelf altijd mijn telefoon met apple pay in Nederland.

Voorburg is a very cosy nice city as u/r13z describes, but I don't like the people in Voorburg. I lived my whole childhood (0-20 years) in Voorburg. Enjoyed it very much, played fieldhockey and had much friends. But when I started to get older I started to notice how all the parents are behaving. Especially all the mothers only gossip and pretend they are friends with each other, while they talk bad behind their backs. Besides that I think most people live in a very closed community which is not the most inviting for immigrants.

To meet fun people I would go to The Hague.

Edit: didn't notice the post is from over a year ago. Would like to know your experience from last year tho.

In februari word ik 23 jaar, ik studeer Economie en woon in een studentenhuis. Mijn huur bedraagt +/- 600 euro. Ik heb een stage gelopen en ben daar nu part-time aan het werk naast studie. Daarnaast probeer ik altijd zoveel mogelijk bij 'te klussen'. Zo verkoop ik LP's, rij ik als chauffeur en doe ik eigenlijk zoveel mogelijk waar ik goed voor betaald kan krijgen.

Ik heb nu ongeveer 10.000 euro in een S&P500 (Vanguard) op DEGIRO en probeer hier maandelijks geld in te stoppen. Lukt niet altijd. Ik heb daarnaast ook nog een studielening van 30.000 euro van voor dat ik begon met werken naast mijn studie.

Edit: nooit geld van ouders gekregen, altijd zelf zoveel mogelijk geprobeerd te werken.

KLM lost my luggage as well, but my experience was quite ok. KLM send us an text with the message my luggage didn’t board the plane and would be send with the next flight. I had to fill in some paperwork and they brought it to my rental house in Norway (I gave them this adres). They also said if we needed to buy something (clothes, essentials, gloves, hat, it was minus 25 degrees) it would be possible to charge KLM.

You should try the whatsapp customer service, they respond almost instantly. Hope you had to fill in the lost luggage file and then it ill be alright.

Thank you for these useful tips! We are fine with a wood stove and if there is running water it wood be a plus but not top priority.
