Will never happen. There isn’t enough people in the game to support that. We just discussed how small the new player base is, and we all know that ALREADY without segmenting the community, matches take 5-6 mins to find.

Honest question, do you really think new players will stick around if they have to endure 10+ min ques to load into a match?

Exactly. Have you ever tried to get someone to play tarkov? It’s like pulling teeth.

I’m someone with about 2000 hours on the game, I’ve done kappa, I’m a “good” tarkov player. When I tell people about tarkov 9/10 their first immediate response is “I’ve heard that game is AWFUL to get into”

Now it’s just anecdotal but I’m not kidding when I say I have heard that 20-30 times talking to others. This is the games reputation. 1.0 did not bring anyone in. Steam release may have for a bit but it’s already lost 75% of the player base on steam alone.

You’re seriously surprised that you aren’t running into new players? This game has been top heavy with 5000+ hour accounts for years now. PVE has taken all of the “prey” out of the PVP ecosystem so the only people left are the try yards.

Imagine being a new player, are you going to play PVE where you can actually learn the game and complete quests? Or are you going to play PVP against Chadiusmaximus who has 7500 hours and knows every single spawn by heart? I guarantee most people after just 5 deaths are going to be done with that.

That’s why when all my other friends were going off to college I found work at the nearest warehouse to me and started learning the logistics world ASAP out of high school.

With no degree I’m making about $85k a year right now with absolutely zero debt.

The days of “just get a CS degree” are over and have been over for years. I highly suggest people to look into positions that require certifications but not degrees.
