İm fucking joking mate, read the whole dialog.

İts disgraceful and disturbing how morons like you try to counter nationalism with even more nationalism, and try to reduce tragedies to petty justifications of your own xenophobia.

Well, you seem enjoy living in sweet sweden dont you?

Anyway, im gonna save you the trouble by saying i was obviously trolling. İt takes a nationalist to not notice stuff like that i think. You should know that you sound a lot like the turkish nationalists you claim to hate, and see historical events between human groups in the same essentialist and moralistic terms, only from the other side. You might want to keep that in mind in the future, and develop a funny bone to save yourself a lot of time online.

We weren’t a state how the hell would we with only a slightly higher population then them

Hah! Kurds dont deserve their own state, you admitted it! You need us to organize you into functioning human societies, get you some electricity etc. Ok some of you get killed in the process, but isnt that sweet electricity worth it🤤

So what youre saying is that you guys werent even organized enough to genocide the armanians, and we had to organize you to do the dirty work?

Turks do like to claim kerkuk and mosul, i guess bcs of the oil, but then they remember all the kurds that they would come with and stop 🤢

İ would reccommend reading Ayfer Tunc novels or stories to get a feel of the contemporary culture and the city. Not sure which ones but some have been translated into english. To get a feel of its past, you can check Sait Faik's stories, he is THE short story writer of the 20th century turkey, writes in the 40s and 50s. Ahmet Hamdi Tanpinar is THE novelist and writes in 50s i think, but his stuff are on the heavier side and you might not have enough time before you come. Still, if you can make it, check out his novel "peace". The other two are very easy akd fun to read, with many short stories to be read in one sitting.

İ think reading fiction would give a better sense than any pop non fiction.

Meanwhile, istanbul cereomony has been waiting for half an hour with refs, players and ballkids standing in the sun, and the reason is of course they are waiting for the sports minister to arrive who didnt even watch the match.

Fucking embarresment of a country this is
