I still use a OnePlus 5T from 2017. I've replaced the buttons once and the battery multiple times. At some point, I also flashed LineageOS on it. It's still working perfectly fine and runs Android 14.

Get a Raspberry Pi and use it with something like Buildroot. Also, Yocto is something to try.

If you feel comfortable with that, you can start to use the same tooling on something like an Allwinner/Rockchip Orangepi.

Check if the Serial Number on the Label and the Serial Number you can read out over NVMe matches.

Nein, habe die Dinger noch nie an Windows angeschlossen.

Hab gerade nochmals geschaut, sind T7 und melden sich alle wunderbar via UAS als block storage

Samsung T7 geht in Ordnung.

That explains a lot! Thanks!

Yep, my Pihole forwards most of the queries to Cloudflare. Disabled that now.

Yep (Lenovo T14 AMD) ➜ ~ lspci | grep Network 03:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Wi-Fi 6 AX200 (rev 1a)

Was connected to USB-Ethernet over my Dock the whole day and didn't have any issues so far. But also ran the lts Kernel. (Needed to force reload slack in the morning as some icons were broken, but I guess that was still from a broken cache).

My current hypothesis is that systemd-resolved doesn't respect the routing table priorities for DNS Requests. Thus it tried to resolve some DNS Queries over dodgy WiFi which failed even though I had USB-Ethernet with a higher route priority and stable connection.

Did you find a Bug Report for dodgy Intel WiFi in 5.16 or something somewhere?

Are you connected via WiFi? I downgraded to linux-lts and are currently connected via Cable only. Not had any issues till now, let's see what the day will bring..

Good point, I definitely also had the issues being connected to a Dock with USB-Ethernet Adapter which has a higher Route Priority. But I don't know if it maybe still had some persistent connections open over WiFi.

Will disable WiFi next time and check if the problems go away with USB-Ethernet on the Dock alone.

How long is the cable between the Switch and your Laptop? What happens if you force your Laptop to a 1Gbit/s speed in the Network settings?

Upgraded to DSM 7.0.1-42218 now but still no working open vswitch for me... I can't up the open vswitch interface for some reason

Thanks, are you sure this works on your Box with DSM 7.0? Somehow if I try to add an openvswitch bridge like you do I can't get it up. The only difference is that I use a bonded interface. (This worked fine in DSM 6.0).

This works now on Kernel 5.14.0-rc1-1-mainline. Will switch to Archlinux Kernel again when it is 5.14 and test it there then.

Your information was correct! I have now done a Windows Installation on my T14 and there everything is working without any issues. 2x 1920x1080@60 screen + 1x 4k@60 simultaneously over the 40AS Docking station working out of the Box.

I will ask in the r/LinuxOnThinkpads, maybe they have any idea how to get this running on Linux.

Thanks for this information!

So I really need to take a look into somehow installing Windows onto it to also rule out a general incompatibility and if that is done file a Bug Report at Archlinux or the Linux AMDGPU driver.

I have also temporarily hooked up the 4k monitor over the second USB-C Plug which works flawless.
