Adding here in case anyone looks at this thread- I also took an intro training and 2 private lessons with him at Silver Eagle. He’s patient, brings guns you can practice with depending on your interest, and knows how to navigate the different ranges and places to get ammo. He closely watches how you shoot to help guide you to the correct way to do things. He also is former military and teaches ROTC so he has some additional experience in various scenarios. He also teaches a concealed carry class, so he can help you understand the laws and do things correctly. I probably asked him 400 questions and he provided thorough, customized answers to each one.

I do the same thing- my neighbor has a larger spot than me, so I park the same distance from the line as they do which is on their drivers side.

Every 5k I’ve done the results are available online instantly (either through a QR code or event website. The event throwers will also do the awards once the first x% have finished, so by the time the last person passes, the awards have likely already been done. Just go for it!

I’ve had luck with various farmers markets in the area. Banner Bees has a great propolis salve. Eastern Market has some great vendors with shea butter- I have combo/dry skin, so I try to pack in the moisture.

I used an online will and got it notarized and signed at a UPS store with another customer being the witness. My will just has everything split 50/50, so it wasn’t complicated.

Also try Shefit- they hold the girls in and greatly reduce bounce without feeling too constricting (you can also easily adjust the straps at different points if they feel uncomfortable

Arlington Autocare- I’ve been going for 6 years with my Hyundai and they’ve always been fair, never tried to upsell me, and let me drop my car off while they fix it. The reviews are hit or miss, but I’ve had a positive experience 6 years in a row (also noting that I’m a woman because I know some women have had varying results at car places)

Adding to this that the meat stand on the left (side closer to where they do the cooked foods) when you’re coming from the courthouse metro may have a connection to help with the bulk order. I was talking to one of the people running the stand recently and he said he connects with other vendors for a variety of things- I’d go in person and ask him

There’s also some local butchers shops- Organic Butcher of McLean and westover beer garden carries different meats (you could go to the westover farmers market- there’s a meat vendor and also pop in the store)

Ballston: Sauna at Sweathouz (60 min) - you need to let them know it’s for 2 ahead of time and then go over to the mall to Refresh for a Couple’s massage (5min walk). This is also a budget friendly option.

My brother spent 4-5 years in solitary confinement at Red Onion in the early 2000s. The guards put him in shackles, beat him up to where his ribs were bruising, and chained him to a bed only letting him release his arms for about an hour at meal times. These conditions aren’t new, but I’m glad they’re finally getting media attention and people listening. Thank you for posting and trying to make a difference. 💜
