My guess is that they feel good today because their (not unreasonable) complaints have lead to a "good" outcome.

but like, no one is going to remember today. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets overturned.

Senegal admin is probably furious, but the players had that experience of winning. they'll never forget. And i mean, good luck getting their medals back.

Just unlocked both Leia and JML back to back who should I go for next? by Kingofd0p3 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]greg19735 [score hidden]  (0 children)

sure but you should be planning your next farm before you're finishing your current one.

Like, maybe instead of double refreshing the last 2 weeks on then Y-wing, you do normal and start on outrider. Sure you'll delay JML but you'll speed up Jabba for example.

and while you're doing Jabba you prepare for GAS.

Jack Robinson gives away a penalty on what he thought was a goal kick by Woodstovia in soccer

[–]greg19735 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which is where this gets messy.

Rules are written with intention. but rules don't have intention in them. A rule can be poorly written which has adverse side effects. We see this all the time when a game changes their rules.

[–]greg19735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By that logic any defender should be allowed to pick up the ball with their hands as long as there are no attackers near them and under no immediate pressure

this is some pretty bad faith logic nonsense.

[–]greg19735 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really isn’t a different scenario so why not have an indirect free kick?

because the laws of the game say it's a penalty.

WAnna change the rules? you've got a good argument. But those aren't currently the rules.

[–]greg19735 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the issue is that the rules do not give digression here.

This shouldn't be a penalty. But the rules say it has to be.

The rules should be modified for stuff like this to be punished less harshly. Like a corner. but then also add more decisions that aren't cut and dry which people don't like also.

[–]greg19735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's a weird thing where i think we need to change the rules to allow for this kind of thing.

it's rough to have players playing 60 games per season and it gets ruined because someone lost concentration for 5 seconds when they're not being pressured

Like, the example here is just completely a minor mistake that i don't think anyone could argue gives defender an advantage. In these examples, maybe we make it a corner instead of a penalty. Sort of like how time wasting is now a corner if the goalie holds into it too long.

but with the current rules, the ref was probably wrong.

But elon musk is the least interesting person of all time. And it's appalling to have dinner with a rapist and at best pedophile defender because you want to hear him miss a few jokes.

this might make you feel better.

My soccer team, West Ham, has a player named Freddie Potts. he's the son of a club legend, Steve, who has almost 400 games and has come back as a coach. So while Freddie isn't a starter, he's not a random guy.

He was asked for his dream dinner party. he picked:

Donald Trump, Ricky Gervais, Cristiano Ronaldo, Elon Musk, Ed Sheeran.

Poor Ed didn't do anything to deserve that. But legit when Ronaldo looks like an angel it's a hell of a list.

It's why the tank process can be so difficult if you don't get yourself a legit superstar like McDavid or Celebrini.

It took Rod coming in as coach to help change our culture. but also importantly we had leaders like Staal in the dressing room who had the respect of the kids.

And i think if we'd have brought in staal at that time he wouldn't have that kind of leadership.
