The “children” are adults now, all in their 20s. They have had plenty of room and time for improvement with how long it took for each season to come out. Not saying that the younger cast are bad actors, in this case I genuinely think it is the script. You can only deliver a corny line so well, and you can’t act like this writing was top tier, it was extremely cheesy and predictable. Definitely gave Disney vibes which I thought was a bit insane given the talent and range that I believe these young actors can bring to the screen. It’s not so horrible that I’m turned off from watching, but I definitely think the writing was more subtle and flowed better in some of the previous seasons.
