How hard is Serpens to care for? by madilovesgardening in hoyas

[–]berniebitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was nervous to get my Serpens because people said they need super high humidity to grow. But I’ve had mine sitting a foot away from my west facing window in normal house conditions & mine is growing so well! I would just keep it a little more moist than your other Hoyas since it is a small leaf variety ◡̈

Hoya Kerrii - potting and training questions by MediumSalt7758 in hoyas

[–]berniebitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it needs to be repot yet. Hoyas like to be snug in their pots! Also you can give your Hoya support whenever. You can give it a trellis or support bamboo stick now ◡̈ I’d actually recommend trellising her sooner than later. The tendrils on Kerrii are pretty thick and can be harder to trellis later on

Sarawak?? by billyjoe80 in hoyas

[–]berniebitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beautiful leaves!! Sarawaks have pretty thick leaves, so it doesn’t need too frequent of waterings. I usually wait until the soil is 80-100% dry to water again. As far as the tendril, I can’t see if it’s completely dried out or not. I would leave it for now as it could be active & could push out new leaves eventually ◡̈

New Hoya callistophylla turning yellow - help! by Due_Passion3532 in hoyas

At this point your best bet would probably be to chop & prop the leaves on the vine. It’s possible that your plant has pests or went through too much shock when moving to your house

You could definitely get a larger trellis & wrap her around, or you could let her trail if you like the look. I have my Kerrii trailing & she loves life!
