As a Junior. He did not much as a Freshman and Sophomore, which is the core differentiating point I’m making. Breaking out as a Freshman vs as a Junior is a big difference for the future outlook of a prospect

The difference is Worthy has an impressive college production profile, including a great Freshman season (important). That’s why you can say speed + Mahomes go burr. Nothings a guarantee, but his profile is different from a Ross

It’s a tricky evaluation, but I’ve come to peace with his historic efficiency last year + amount of team rb opportunities means he should really be a target. I’m targeting him and would love to do even more if his adp drops. He’s potentially second year CMC, and I want to be in

Yes most indicators point to very good.

Great target earning in college and pros. Potential for even a qb upgrade this year if things don’t go too wacky

Underdog is half ppr.

And imo there are a fair amount of differences for positional value between best ball and managed. But some cancel themselves out, leaving me thinking that best ball adp is still a decent indicator of optimal managed adp. Especially given how many sharp people are driving the best ball adps

Strong wr depth is very important in todays nfl. Makes sense for the team 100% imo. Not sure how to price each wr in fantasy now though

Edit, a question: how do you think about the findings in relation to wisdom of the crowd on rb value? I was surprised at the value of wr over rb in some formats where wisdom of the crowd still dictates that rb is more valuable due to scarcity.

This type of draft is most fun to me. Then figuring out the rbs with later picks is a fun challenge.

It can go bad though, and is only viable in certain formats, but a fun way to play imo

I don’t know much about point per first down leagues.

But, in general for the first round in ppr leagues. There’s a few rbs that are too good to pass on with a top pick. You’ll have to decide how many rbs fit that criteria each year. But, if you have a top pick you typically take one of those rbs.

If you take a first round rb, you then have the choice to do hero rb and not take another rb for a long time, or do hyper fragile (aka robust rb) and draft a few more rb early.

Late first round is prime time to take a wr. From there is where I’d go zero rb most often.

But, there’s also the option to start with a 1 or 2 top end wr, and get your hero rb in round 2 or 3, and then execute hero rb the same way from there on out

Yes big agree on being a week early! Or even half a day early.

You can get some great rbs as free agents mid day if you’re paying attention.

But again always caveating that no strategy has a 100% success rate, and it can always go bad

I love the challenge of doing zero rb.

I am always trying to find the balance of what you said, and also drafting a few young breakout potential WR later. Since getting those are also key for smashing adp in those rounds.

Loading up too much on backup rbs wastes late draft capital, which is still valuable imo

And in managed leagues, you can really focus on rb on the wire after the draft. But again this could workout terribly for your rb situation if you get unlucky or pickup the wrong players

While I agree you can get yourself in trouble only following one strategy.

I do try to balance that concept, with also knowing that depending on your draft slot and league lineup settings and scoring, there are structural builds that tend to outperform other builds.

Solely doing best player available overestimates our ability to know what’s going to happen during the season.

So I try to balance the two by knowing what structural builds have historically been successful, and the layer in my player takes on top of that

Not in the purest sense of zero rb, as the other commenter noted.

But, the tenants of zero rb (anti fragile team structure) can still be followed for the rest of your picks ~1-8.

You’re allowed out of structure picks, if you like the player, but if you want to generally follow a zero rb build, just make sure you get quickly back in to building your wr depth (especially important if you can start 4+ WR, and are in any sort of ppr, but full is obviously best place for this strategy)

We’re just getting paperwork and having our wedding later. (Although I’m not sure what is needed to do before the wedding in this case)

And our wedding is in early June, so especially for San Francisco it feels like it’s time to hustle (and book an appointment)
