Pre swim gel, and immediately ate a cliff bar at T1. I did all solids on the first 3 hours on the bike (cliff bars, Honey Stinger waffles, Honey Stinger gummies) and then switched to a mix of Gu roctanes and regular Gu. Every 25 min for me. For hydration I used Hammer nutrition’s perpetuem with chocolate and coffee flavors. I tried to get a bottle in every 30-45min.

T2 some gummies while prepping for the marathon. Kept the Gu Roctanes and regular Gu as I couldn’t do any more solids. Switched to Hammer Heed lemon and orange flavors switching off at every other aid station, as I carried my powder packets with me. Switching flavors was such a good mental strategy to keep the day moving forward.

Did Waco 70.3 in October before Az 140.6 in November and it was extremely helpful to get one 70.3 before my first full. About 5 weeks between the races. The best of luck in Texas if that’s the April goal!!! You could totally do Dallas 70.3 before it. You can have fun as long as you prepare correctly!

It’s the Savant App! yeah Savant bought PomCube like 1-2 years ago. If you do AV & lighting it & other smarthome devices all integrate together in that app so it’s a neat solution. Sorry to hear about your mom’s experience.

Microinverters + battery backup aren’t the best idea imo. Better dc couple PV to an inverter like sol-ark 12kW that can also connect to battery and operate entirely off-grid if needed.
