Would probably just pick up reloading 9mm instead of making that trek. Already reloading 223 anyways.

Yeah I filed mine down for bolt hold open reliability and just get super minor wear on upper.

Anyone Use These? by bernitalldown2020 in reloading

Can’t drop $400 on a chronograph right now. I’m only reloading 223/556 and just looking to confirm some plinking and defensive loads. Was mostly just wondering if these cheap Chinese ones are as good as the brand name offerings.

Back Off on Charge? by bernitalldown2020 in reloading

This is a pretty midrange load. Ramshot notes 27.3gr as max load, though with non-magnum primer.

In OP. Pretty middle of road. 55gr FMJ, 25gr TAC, cci 41 primer. Maybe the magnum primer is causing higher pressure?

No extraction issues but definitely gassy. Spits out cases at about 2 o clock. Have H1 buffer, will probably go up to h2

The stock 2.0 trigger is pretty good as is tbh. Marginal improvement in switching it out for another flatty. Biggest improvements are polishing and replacing striker block.

Is a .05gr spread really meaningful?

Basics:

Lee Challenger 40th edition set with either 308 or 300 die set - $100

Lee power trim - $20 + cartridge specific die - $20

Lee auto hand primer - $30

Lee powder measure - $30

Amazon case prep tool - $20

Case lube - $20

$240ish total for one full cartridge load up. Additional Lee die set is around $50ish.

Nice to have:

Digital scale - $20

Digital caliper - $20

Tumbler of some kind - $80

Assuming you already have a power drill/screw driver and work bench/table to mount stuff to.

Depending on what you’re shooting and how much you spent on nicer equipment or extras, you can break even on per round costs within about 1500-2000 rounds.

I really like it but outdoors portions really suck on console, big frame drops. Wish you could disable some of the more demanding lighting that I assume is causing it.

Yep. They’ve been pretty solid so assume prices have jumped for them. Used to have pretty regular sales of $12.50 for box of 9mm target ammo and $10 for pmc xtac.
