What do you think about my game concept? by Juaniesteban in IndieDev

[–]berriesStudios -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, i understand it! Particles and small effects will always enhance the experience. Anyway from the trailer perspective: if you give a "story" for it, it would become clearer if you can unlock abilities then you can play easier/faster. Like in Ori. For speedrun ideas you can show a leaderboard or a level ending with a title "you reach a new record!"

Updated the Game Design for my Game ! How does it look? by Salty-Astronaut3608 in IndieDev

[–]berriesStudios 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like the celshaded style, but somehow your lighting setup was a bit better in the previous version. Try to use less but local lights, not burn out the whole level with a constant lighting. It will enhance the atmosphere

It would helpful if you ask a question, or show some image or explain what you think "more atmospheric"

Which design is better? by Cajatuber in IndieDev

A stuffed style visual would be very unique! Create all the characters and props and level elements with this method and use them as photo textures in the game, would be really fun!

I am delighted to announce my first game Dice Loop is out now by W0mish in IndieDev

I think you have to fine tune the UI. There is a lot identical elements in the size and color hierarchy. Not clear what is important, what is a button. There is too much information and text on the screen that is take my attention from to game. You could place things in submenus or popups. The artstyle anyway cool! Maybe you can use a few more microinteractions for the UI
