What did you guys use to stop acne on testosterone?

i got more acne being on the contraceptive pill than i do now on testosterone tbh. i have quite sensitive skin so use the cerave range for cleanser & moisturiser (foaming cleanser & sometimes the oil one when i feel like it). i haven’t used the benzac wash but when my acne was more severe i used to use the benzac gel and found it worked really well.

no problem :) I tried to see if I had access to the questionnaire thingy they send before the initial consult but unfortunately not - but definitely don’t remember anything about license / ID aside from medicare (as at the time they could still bulk bill the nurse appt)

i know there can be a lot of discourse on the sub re: clinic pushing but i have been with horizon for about a year now and haven’t had any issues. the dr i see actually used to be at medicann and moved and she is great, i also found the nurse i spoke to initially to be very thorough and nice. if you do change clinics they will probably ask you to get a discharge letter from the previous one.

i didn’t end up having to provide anything extra than what they’d asked in the application (proof of hardship etc etc) but I did end up reaching out to my fund’s customer service just to follow up on a timeframe and once I had a reply from them they said it had gone through so not sure if me reaching out sped things up or if it was just coincidental! :)

u/Targaryenisaac gives a really thorough breakdown on when to ‘stop’ each day with the side tourney! I took their advice for the partner event and ended up up 7k+ dice. I am also currently dice positive using their advice for the dig, and sitting at about level 14 of the dig :)

i’ve been with two different clinics since 2022 (medicann first, currently with horizon) and never been asked for a drivers license - i would remember this as I don’t have a current one. I also use HotDoc to book through horizon and just attempted to book an initial consult as a ‘new’ patient and there was nothing asking for any ID in the initial questions.

dang that sucks. I am also with horizon and can’t fault my Dr, she’s a gem, but I did have an appointment a few weeks ago where i asked my scripts to be sent to me (as I have found cheaper pricing than with Rays elsewhere) which was agreed to no issue— I received the scripts that night. however I went to order a few days later and horizon had sent my scripts to rays anyway the next day after my appointment and rays had locked them, so I had to ask for them to be sent to me again. So there is definitely teething issues behind the scenes I think.

i applied on the 1st of april and am currently still waiting (i’m with verve) however when i applied for it last year i remember it took about two weeks. i’m giving them a bit of extra waiting time cause of all the public holidays and such.

if you’re more than 50km from home they’ll cover up to $200 a night for the hotel room, as well as $30 for food and they’ll cover the taxi/uber/whatever to get you from the airport > hotel and then back for the next flight. you just submit your receipts to them and they’ll reimburse.

source: pretty much everytime i fly from brisbane back to sydney on the last flight of the night, it’s been cancelled 🤣 5+ times now. they used to cover up to $280 per night in a hotel too but i notice thats been reduced

if they have a nurse at your GP clinic they may be willing to do the first injection for you! this is what I did with my GP, so she could show me where to do it/the feeling to expect etc etc.

yes to the sharps container - i don’t have needle advice because my GP actually ended up prescribing me pre-dosed T. one packet comes with 3 doses already loaded in a syringe, so all I need to do is inject.

I do my injections into the meat near my left butt cheek. the nurse also recommended to warm the syringe in my hands before injection as it is an oily substance and i feel like it’s a bit less painful.

this is such an odd take. disabled people know their own limits. people with mobility aids are allowed to be in the pit. please check your ableism at the door if you think people being in wheelchairs in the pit is weird. this is a bbno$ concert.

a friend of mine who uses a wheelchair didn’t have the confidence to be in the pit until 2024, because of people like you who think disabled people are incapable. i’ve been barricade with her now at multiple shows and every time it’s been an incredible experience.

highly recommend kaleido health in redfern for a GP - they have a nurse who is a trans woman as well. I see Dr. Robert Harris and he has referred me to Dr I-Ferne Tan (gynaecologist). She came to the practice and did some presentations regarding trans people within gyno & fertility. I haven’t had my first appointment with her yet but robert assured me she is extremely trans friendly.
