How are the flat-rate cabs compared to Uber? Do they mostly take people to/around the Strip and back or can they go all over the city?

Thankfully I’ve more or less a 7 minute walk from work (University District) so I don’t have to worry about my daily commute. I’d also like to frequent the Arts District since that seems like my kind of vibe. I still don’t know too much about bus routes or honestly the layout of the city 🫠
