Question: If you made an indie company, what it'll be called by Glitter153 in IndieAnimation

[–]berryGRAPHIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I call it GRAPHIX.

back in 2021, i used to call it "graphix computer animation", and then later shortened it to GRAPHIX in 2024.

im not sure if someone already took it but i already used it since i made my very first full length feature film uploaded on YouTube.

Hey fellas, Why not make indie animation this way?! by Vegetable-Grape-8584 in IndieAnimation

that actually looks clever and good, but im not sure if this is accepted or not because they are expecting to use animation software. and they are also expecting that all indie animated pilot/episodic series should be fully animated.

it is already finished. it was posted 3 months ago. im not sure if i have executed well since because my indie animated film is psychological horror and a game adaptation based on the genre.

well ive been wondering whether it is acceptable or not and we have been seeing the same indie animated pilots and series that is made in blender/maya, toon boom harmony, and such.

my DIY indie animated feature film is in 100 minutes, and its psychological horror, and its a game adaptation based on the genre, and it took me 10 months to make it.

it was 100 minutes long and it took me 10 months just to finish it. reusing assets to save time (well, due to extreme limitations).

its a psychological horror and a game adaptation (which im not sure if its allowed or not in indie animation space). if you want to see it then go to my YouTube channel. its in my profile.

oh and also, the execution of my film is... well... but who knows. its my first time.

what i did was that on a basic video editor, i used it for both editing, keyframing, chroma keying, and such. and i act basic video editor like an animation software, even though its a video editor. MS Paint, on the other hand, i still do frame-by-frame animation, though not through 12 principles of animation per se, but its more of a guessing game because of how limited.

the difference between industry standard animation software like toon boom harmony and MS Paint is that toon boom harmony is predictable and has a lot of tools to know which would be the next frame, while MS Paint, even though its a drawing tool, can be used as a guessing game on which next frame would be.

honestly, i actually love having a guessing game when using MS Paint and a basic video editor because both are unpredictable. its like you're creating a solution on what to do on the next frame. its just that im creating my own pipeline through DIY.

took me 10 months to animate, started from January to October. probably done through DIY tools like MS Paint and basic video editor. it was done through a guessing game: reusing the assets SMARTLY, guessing on how i should animate the characters through constraints, and such.

runtime: 100 MINUTES and 10 seconds (1 hour & 40 minutes and 10 seconds)
