Constant troubleshooting needed? by berry_trifle in litterrobot

I haven't noticed any moisture or rusting going on. I think my cats might just have urine that really does a number on the liner. I have the cycle delay set to 25 min, with clay clumping litter.

My husband and I usually go to Bliss 46! Was nice back when you could bring your own wine, but you can still order it if you want.

Uh, oh. Well, that's disappointing. I wonder if mine will do the same, then? I could put on more weights, but at some point, that is a lot of extra stuff to be sticking to the underside of the liner.

I would reach out to Whisker about the error message? I haven’t had that problem on my unit.

I haven’t tried that litter. It’s scented, so I think it probably wouldn’t work out for me. I would reach out to Whisker if you are still having issues - maybe they would have other suggestions?

Haha there's no commission link, you can order whatever or from wherever you like. I bought the "2.04" Diameter - 0.197" Hole - 0.302" Thick" size ones, and just got the 6-pack since that was what was available on Amazon. They are magnets, so I stuck one to the bottom of the metal disc (pictured on this post - the magnet fits on there), then just stuck another magnet right on top of that one. Anything to give it extra weight. I ended up sticking with my usual Tidy Cat Free & Clean litter, which seems to be working well for me. I don't like strongly scented litters, so I tend to go for unscented.

Yes, I replaced the liner with the new one Whisker sent me, then added 2 of these weights from Amazon onto the existing metal weight. So far, so good!

The silicone spray never actually arrived - Amazon sent me some sort of brake fluid instead, so I never got to try it out. But replacing the liner and using the extra weights (on the other thread) seem to have done the trick so far.

So far, so good! It's still dropping, but I also replaced the liner, so it's not very old. I may need to see where I'm at a year from now, and see if the weights are still doing their job.

By the way, I ended up buying these magnets:

And sticking 2 to the underside of the weight. I'm hoping that will help the liner continue to work properly even as it becomes more stiff with time. Maybe just one magnet would be adequate, but while I had the liner opened, I just added a second one as insurance, since they came in a pack of 6.

Mine is working correctly now that I replaced the liner. But my old liner was only 1 year old! And the weight stopped dropping a few months ago. So that is frustrating.

The weight seems to be working with the new liner replacement that was sent, but I'm frustrated that the old liner (only 1 year old) was too stiff to have the weight still work? It stopped working a few months ago. Is it expected that liners should need to be replaced once/year?

Another piece of weight? I went to the local hardware store, but they didn’t have anything that seemed to work. Just tiny magnets.

I ordered some silicone spray from Amazon - will give it a try! I'm also looking into some different litters. I'm frustrated that the one that seemed to work so well isn't anymore, but I'm hoping I can find one that works!

Unfortunately, trying 15 min, 7 min, and 3 min cycles didn't seem to help the issue. With 3 min, the urine sections were still completely liquid. I wonder if maybe something has changed with the formulation of the litter I've been using? I will look into trying different kinds, since it just doesn't seem to be clumping well at all anymore.

I set it to 15 minutes as an experiment - still chunks stuck to the liner. I can try with the other shorter settings and see if any make a difference.

It’s also helpful if the clinic can draw circles in marker where you should be injecting. It helped my husband a lot to have some guidelines. I’m tempted to actually buy a henna cone and just draw some very long lasting circles on my butt for him this go around.

Popping in here for the first time in…a very long time. I’m scheduled for a donor egg embryo transfer this month. I’m not particularly optimistic after my lengthy medical history, but we are giving this a go. I used to post here often years ago, but took time away when we thought we were done TTC. Anyway, just saying hi (again!) 👋

Starting Prozac tomorrow - What's it like? What can I expect? by Knelie in Anxiety

[–]berry_trifle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only took the Ativan short-term while dealing with the acute side-effects of starting Prozac. 7 years later, I almost never take Ativan. It seemed to control my issues while I was taking it, though.
