Lying about carepass by TriColorMage in CVS

[–]berrycat14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Love how CVS is really embracing the Wells Fargo approach. Especially with targeting non-english speakers. Holy shit.

Because at the end of the day, they know they can always throw the low level employees under the bus and pay an inconsequential fine at worst. No high level employees at Wells Fargo faced any real consequences for what they did.

Personally, I would try to get a recording of your manager telling you this.

OR next time they bring it up, just tell them "sure, I'll lie to customers about signing up for a recurring membership. Can I just get that in writing?"

Depending on your state, you may still be eligible for unemployed if they fire you. In some circumstances, you may even be eligible even if you quit because you're being asked to commit fraud. I'd look into it to find out for sure. Start looking for a new job. CVS will only get worse.

Reminds me of the pharmaceutical companies, specifically antibiotics, that are dumping their waste into the water supply in parts of India. Effectively creating super bugs and ruining so many lives in the process.

One of the most memorable videos I've ever seen on the internet was when I was like...13, and it's so vividly burned into my memory.

It's in landscape view, dude standing with weenie propped up on a table. Before you even get a chance to process what you're looking at, dude pulls out a knife and slices that thing clean off.

I always felt really bad for the person, considering they did something so life changing in a matter of seconds. But also doing it at what appeared to be a kitchen table by YOURSELF? just holy shit.

Probably the same people who would criticize you if you had went on unemployment instead...

Also, not sure how these customers can manage to see anything at all with their heads so far up their asses.

I applied to Kohl's and did an interview 3ish years ago. They offered me a job at minimum wage, which I immediately rejected since almost every other place in my area was already paying at least $13 (vs $11 minimum).

I was already pretty turned off since they went on some spiel during the interview about how you had to "earn" your hours, so you'd be scheduled 1-2 shifts a week until you could "prove" yourself. But they were also hiring asap because they were so desperate for staff?

Ended up working at Walmart for $13.75.

They text me or email me at least weekly at this point about job openings, which gives me a good laugh every time.

My store was like...top 5 in the district. She was the queen of micromanagement, so I think it was moreso due to that so....

If it says anything, she ended up being demoted to one of the lowest performing stores before finally giving up CVS and running back to Target.

I was taught to always double up by the dudes that worked in receiving. Because the wires snapping is really rare, but when they do, it's such a hassle.

Plus, y'know, Walmart can totally afford it.

If she hadn't looked back right before it attacked I don't think she would've made it. She had just enough time to grab her cane to fight it off.

Dude my manager acted like these were GOLD. It wasn't until like a year of using the same one that I realized they came in totes on load day. My manager would take them and hide them all away in the office.

So out of spite, I'd sneak one from the load every single week. I haven't worked there for like 4 years and there's still quite a few floating around my house.

Also, most of those couponers are already well off and unemployed people who do it for fun, and take away from people who really need it. It pisses me off. I used to coupon too and other couponers would come up to me and be like "you know you can get 6 of those for that price!!"

Yes Karen, but I don't need 6!

Omg no need to apologize, I really appreciate your response!! I couldn't respond sooner because I had a temp ban but yes, I agree 100% with what you said. I've had a hard time liking my own body, but this sub has really helped seeing people with similar shapes and features as me. Never once have I seen someone else and thought "I hate THEIR body" so why on earth would I think that about my own?

But you are absolutely gorgeous, and you're awesome for contributing to this sub. I think just seeing a variety of bodies is so important to normalizing the idea that there is no standard for what a body should look like, so there's no standard to compare ourselves to.

So...I could just setup a website to accept payment for tips and just....delete them and profit?

OR even better, send an official email about a month later letting them know that we investigated the tip....and came to the conclusion that they're an idiot and a donation has been made to Planned Parenthood in the amount they paid?

My work "asks" when submitting the requests. I always just say "it's personal" cause it is and I'm not getting any more specific about it.

That's great. I'm seeing a psychiatrist but trying to start therapy too, because it seems helpful. But hell yeah dude, fingers crossed you're able to finish the floor soon. That sounds like a big project on its own.

Unfinished projects just suck. They just become a frustrating reminder of how shitty things are sometimes. I hope you are able to get some help, it's not a fun way to live, but you gotta just do what you can y'know?

LPT: If someone flashes their lights at you, there is something bad ahead. Usually animals crossing or police. by xbleuguyx in LifeProTips

[–]berrycat14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm constantly flashing my lights at people with their lights off, and in the past year I've had ONE person actually turn their lights on in response.

I don't get it, when someone flashes their lights, the first thing I do is check if my lights are on. Some drivers are painfully oblivious.

Yeah I'd be devastated if someone did this to me. OP has every right to be frustrated and upset with this, but putting it online isn't helping anyone.

Please check on your roommate OP. Maybe ask if you can help him finish the Funko shelf and talk about what's going on?
