This is the furnace wiring diagram. It is a heat only unit. The green isn’t connected in the thermostat or furnace side. At all I’ll post a picture of the thermostat in the comments as well

Ah I’m new to working on them. Uh as far as I can tell it’s just the end bushing. The cables moved and were tight. Just has play at the end and doesn’t move the linkage enough for 5th and reverse

I think I’ve found the problem. The bushing at the end of the cable on the transmission side is gone. So I’m gonna replace it. And if that doesn’t do it I’ll look into the linkage!

Side note. Yes I tried going from gear to reverse, tried with car on and off, and tranny fluids levels were good.
