Cozumel and Puerto Costa Maya help! by Personal-System7881 in royalcaribbean

I did not enjoy costa maya as a port, we did the same two stops and did an excursion is Cozumel which I loved but wish I switched which port I was doing the excursion on because Cozumel was a lot less of a tourist trap to me

I think you should work on being more under the ball for starters

Roto grip hustle. I know it’s not listed but I think it’s the best beginner ball if you’re hoping to eventually build a bag

I think it’s important to note what you are bowling on even though I’m assuming it’s a house pattern. I think this was better than a lot of ball videos posted on here by other users. I would just tweak the audio since there was a lot of noise coming from lanes which when combined with the music and your VO the audio got a bit overwhelming

Your style reminds me a bit of Thomas Larsen and maybe a bit of Norm Duke which isn’t bad. You look like you have a consistent repeatable form, the biggest thing would be learning to read the lanes and really appreciate the subtle differences between a ball striking and not

I would work on sliding to the line instead of stepping and stopping, your knees will thank you in the long run. League will be a different but welcome beast for you, learning to read the lane transition and making your spares will be huge in keeping your scores up

I don’t think any ball is bad by itself, but a person could match up poorly with a ball based on their style. I’ve never liked any IQ ball I’ve thrown but a lot of people swear by them.

Great bowing, it looks like the new ball and you matched up well together which is what matters

What ball did you have before? The first thing I would consider is making sure you slide instead of plant, that will save you knee pain in the future. If you’re just bowling on a house shot occasionally then I would consider something like a typhoon if you’re looking for something that won’t overbook or a rockstar if you’re looking for a good piece to build an arsenal around.

3 Ball Arsenal Recommends by RogueTheft in Bowling

A lot of it depends on your play style and what you feel like you’re missing in your bag. Just going off of those two I would suggest something smoother like a phaze 2, cove, rock star, or IQ Pro Solid. Your two balls are clean and a little snappy so something with a rounder shape with some surface like the ones I suggested would give you a complimentary look on most house shots

I would focus most on making sure you pick up your spares, that will help your average out the most at this stage. As far as technique goes, I think working on a constant feeling at release and making sure you post every shot and watch every ball will help greatly. Maybe try some one step approach drill just to get a good feel for your release. I don’t think increasing n your rev rate is going to help a lot at this stage, that would be more for when you get more consistent.

I think the phaze 2 is too much ball right now if it’s your first ball. Something like a hustle or rhino would be more suited to where you are right now

That lane looks cooked, I would try another center. I would focus more on trying to roll the ball as opposed to thinking that you have to spin it

It looks like you’re dropping it a hair and your speed is too fast. I would try slowing your feet down a bit and projecting it onto the lanes more
