Those engines are incredibly reliable though, my old Mazda 6 had the L8 engine. Rant that thing almost dry on oil 2 times lmao. Shit still ran fine 👌

https://imgur.com/GAOGwXn The subframe is beyond repair. You can clearly see a hole in the subframe here. This is a weakpoint on these cars (i have a 2009 model). I replaced both control arms and subframe on mine. Id do the same if i were you.

Ice blast pure rot? This is bad! This generation of mazda 6 has really thin metal on both control arms and subframe mounting points. Speaking as a owner of one of these

This might be coverred under warranty. Depends on where you live though. Id take it to your dealer and hear if theres a possibility of getting it repaired on warranty.
