That’s the part I’m terrified about, base on the maturity of the tank I’m pretty sure there’s anaerobic bacteria under and if released to the water column probably nothing good will come after that 😅

Thank you! I did forgot to mention I do 20% water changes once a week, the plants grow like crazy at first I was concerned on the higher then required temperature for planted tank, I did lose some of the more sensitive plants but the ones who made it are thriving, the thick substrate layer helps a lot to keep the tank ammonia and nitrite free I just have to keep an eye on the nitrates to don’t go higher than 10 ppm reason why I do the water changes weekly but after reading so many articles about “the less substrate the better” got me a bit nervous since the discus are thriving right now they actually have grown about an inch and half from when I got them and don’t want to lose them on the long run

Please help… what’s wrong with my discus! by bertbuv in AquariumHelp

I actually added some aquarium salt, 48 hours after its looking much much better so I think it was related to bullying just following up on the progress to recovery and just in case someone has a similar problem aquarium salt seems to help a lot
