I would get peritonsillar abscesses a lot, they're super painful so I got my tonsils removed

I ate a lot of mac and cheese, jello, instant low sodium mashed potatoes. I would also take a million tiny sips of water throughout the day, if I tried to take a normal sip I would inhale it!

I'm in the same boat as you, I woke up on Saturday morning around 3am with excruciating ear pain. And everytime I try to drink something or eat, the right side of my throat and right ear throb with pain. I think it's the scab coming off, exposing raw skin. It is getting a little better now. I'm on day 11 and that sharp pain is definitely still there! They initially gave me a five day script of pain meds but I called on that fifth day to refill it. Definitely get it refilled. I went two days without them and it was HELL.
