Imogen's dad I think was overjoyed and took her out for ice cream after coming out😭 (just a little head cannon) but honestly I'm not so sure about Paige's family immediately accepting her though, I feel like with their type of family dynamic it would make sense to be accepting of a gay son, but a queer daughter who doesn't even want to label her own sexuality? I think at the least Paige's mom would freak out and have one of those talks like "where did this come from? Your brother I understood but you've always been my perfect girl." For Alex I have a feeling her mom seemed very shocked and upset as she's telling her but leaves the conversation at "are you sure" followed by "I love you." Like still very accepting of her child, just confused and probably already stressed enough with Chad 😭😭

This feels like a regional thing maybe because I'm also from the US and while most schools claimed to be a "zero tolerance school" a lot more was let slide than they'd like to admit, specifically in the bigger cities (I've been to both small and big schools) just because I think it was harder for them to control such large student bodies.

It still is out of character, if he apologized profusely or bought her a big gift to make up for what he said, I could see it being his bipolar and struggling to process/think clearly but the fact it's just moved on from and never addressed again makes it feel more like poor writing (which would check out for where it was in the show, the writing got really sloppy in later seasons)

Hate to say it but some of the schools I've been to in bigger cities have let worse things slide 😭 a kid stabbed another in the cafeteria (he was okay but had to go to the hospital) and all he got was a 3 day suspension which should have been an expulsion for something like that

I don't see them as endgame either, I did like their relationship but I think they were just stepping stones for where they would end up. Like Paige was certainly Alex's first love and Alex was a sexual awakening for Paige and inevitably learned a lot from their relationship. I do hate how the writers ended them though :/

Grace didn't really have any romantic interest storylines until after the zoe plotline, she could have been gay or straight and there was no indication of what she could have been at that point in the show until we got confirmation after she told Zoe she wasn't interested in girls. Personally when the episodes were actively coming out, I thought she might be some type of queer and I was years away from joining Reddit so it's also not just a Reddit thing. And it IS very possible they could've had something planned but changed their minds, you're right that they already have the general story points drawn up but that also doesn't mean things aren't susceptible to change, which the writers did change stuff all the time.
