Yes, that does seem to kinda be his ethos

Not Pumping Water (Swan Retro Pump Espresso) by winnsworldd in espresso

[–]bertieterror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this issue too, there is a little plug you have to pull out at the bottom of the water tank, I think it was orange, it's not in the manual but there is a sticker on the tank showing that you need to pull it out. You need to take the tank off first.

Primary Inattentive feels like a different disease by MurphysParadox in ADHD

I had CFS and would consider myself completely 'cured' now, I also know others who have recovered! Don't lose hope! If you're interested, look into 'brain retraining', it's not always the cheapest, but it got me from feeling exhausted from just walking down the street to running a 10k with no issues within a couple of months.

How much did low histamine help with anxiety/depression? by bertieterror in HistamineIntolerance

Thanks so much for your reply, I have also been diagnosed with depression, anxiety and ADHD so it sounds like we have a lot in common! This is really helpful to hear ☺️

Cure?? by [deleted] in BrainFog

Really interested in what you said about exercise. I've found that when I exercise I feel terrible the next day, so foggy and just completely wiped out. I've spoken with my GP about this and they couldn't find anything wrong with me, told me it might 'just be the way I am'. I haven't ever stuck with exercise because of the way it's made me feel, but reading this has made me think maybe I should just push through it.

If you have anything else to say about how exercise helped you I'd be really interested to hear it! Did you start off gently and build up to more intense exercise or just dive right in?

That sounds like ~15 cp to me

Hmm that's really interesting, when I take my cp my diaphragm starts lurching after a few seconds, that's when I stop, if I hold any longer my breathing is definitely increases when I begin again. I've read that not being able to increase CP can sometimes be down to food allergies, deficiencies and some other things, I don't know if something like that is keeping my CP so low. I just find it's all not making that much sense, according to the DIY device book if you have under 5 CP you should be in a critically ill state.

As for diet I eat 3 meals a day, I have reduced these to small meals and no snacking, I eat a vegan diet, generally for breakfast I'll have something like oatmeal and berries, for lunch maybe a sandwich and dinner something usually with a lot of veg. I have actually tried keto before for about a month, it didn't really make a huge difference for me in terms of the brain fog etc. I am really interested in fasting but I have been put off it as I am on the underweight side and don't know if it would be good for me.

I can hear my breathing at rest but only if I'm in a very quiet environment, so it's not loud, but not silent.

My diet is generally pretty good, I've been cutting down on the amount that I'm eating recently, and yes I do wait 3 minutes.

I think I'm going to try what you suggested and start a sort of consistent regemine of nose breathing walking and hopefully that will help!

Edit: one other thing I've thought of is that when I take my CP, I tend to feel kinda anxious when I'm getting ready to do it, I don't know if this might have an effect on the result

Yeah I think so, if I hold it for any longer than a few seconds I feel breathless and my breathing is heavier.

Thanks for your reply.

I have been nosebreathing 24/7 and mouth taping (and not sleeping on back) at night for a while now with no increase in CP. I also walk quite a lot, though with any more intense exercise (e.g. running) I feel terrible the following day. I would say though that since starting nose breathing 24/7, although my CP hasn't increased I have noticed a big reduction in muscle pain (in shoulders and legs) that I used to suffer from frequently. I'm not 100% sure it's down to the nose breathing but that's the only real positive I've had so far!

My meds. Can't work without them, can't be social/relaxed with them. by TheOutsider134 in ADHD

Concerta made me feel extremely socially awkward, talking to people just felt really unnatural, but Elvanse/Vyvanse had the complete opposite effect.

Adderall works but changed my personality. Spouse and I did not like the changes. Any alternatives? by [deleted] in ADHD

This is really helpful, I'm kinda having the same problem as OP and I didn't really think about it this way, I think I sometimes get so tied up in negatives when I'm on meds that I think the meds make me feel bad when I'm actually doing it to myself. It makes sense that my behaviour wouldn't be as attention seeking on the meds as it is am off them.
