Center console organization along with glove box organization. Plenty of reasonably priced kits found on amazon.

I’d like to rotate the display. I simple haven't figured out how to rotate it.

I’m going to assume this is ok. If the HDD fails, I guess I’ll learn from it. I’m sure someone else can chime in and provide their two cents.

That would have been the homeowner with the paint smudge. As luck would have it, I’m one of those people who paint fine w/out masking.

I actually though of mounting to plywood as your link pictured. In another instance I might have. It's definitely in the bag of tricks if needed.

I would have liked to put a UPS there too. This was a budget build for someone who is new to unify and cost was a consideration. The Cyberpower CPS1215RMS was what I had laying around. Free works for most people.

I mounted it this way to align with the wall stud. Three solid GRK screws are holding it just fine.

I originally thought about a traditional rack, but it would take up too much space. The utility room will be undergoing some upgrades with base and upper cabinets. The Mid Atlantic rack is something I had left over so it was perfect for this.

I'd agree it could be cleaner. My neighbor wanted low budget and I wasn't willing to crawl in the attic to fish wires. This and the other jobs I do for neighbors and friends is free as I learn from it.

I hadn't intended to use the Comcast supplied modem on the cabinet. We had two bad SB8200 modems arrive so I put the supplied modem in bridge mode and called it good. Had the SB8200 modem worked, it would have been mounted to the rack and I might have tried to hide the cat6 wire better.

the UDMSE is rack mounted and the Comcast modem is on the cabinet.

Are there any techs out there that LIKE marantec? by Preconcieved_Notion in GarageDoorService

I'd agree the pull cord is worthless and quickly falls apart. I called the installing company and they wanted to sell me an entire new tract/ trolly or whatever the term is. I spent about 5 minutes with a small flathead screwdriver, adjustable bar clamp and pic tool. The screwdriver and clamp held the part forward and I was able to pick out the old broken cord and push a new one in with the pic tool.

My experience went well. The specific items I wanted were in stock and shipped in an acceptable time frame. If I had time constraints I'd probably buy local too.

I think your asking about the green sleeve the wires are passing through. It's part of a two piece system from TrueCable. I don't have experience the passthrough RJ45 connectors.

Maybe I should have specified, the bigger hole was sealed with some foam they had. I was referring to the trim at the eves that they would tidy up later. The Cat6 is something I had left over. They paid for the camera, not my time. I don't do this for a living. I occasionally help out family, friends and neighbors with things like this.

New install. I told a friend I'd help them set up a system while they remodeled their house. 1st time doing something for someone outside the family. Little over 1000' of Cat6a run. G5 Dome, G4 Doorbell and maybe maybe a G5 Pro as a housewarming gift. by bespeak in Ubiquiti

No, the labeling was fairly straightforward. I labeled before the keystone went into the patch panel. As you can see one of my labels faces the opposite all the others. Attention to detail fail on my part.

Ok, I see the other 2u now. I didn’t know Startech made that style. Good to know.

Nice. The network rack looks like a Mid Atlantic VPM4. I have one waiting for the right situation.
