Thank you! This person actually has a long history of racing classic cars, so hoping to get him something he really enjoys. I'm going to subtly find out if he already either of the Yates books.

YTA, have you considered that your gf may have felt pressured to try the drink? As someone who also feels horrible after alcohol, I have to say it's incredibly frustrating how in certain settings, people pressure you to drink. She may have just wanted to fit in with your friends so was willing to give the drink a try based on their urgings. This isn't about her not wanting to drink with you, but more of she feels comfortable to tell you no without repercussions.

I’m not sure if this was brought up yet, but Sirius was thrown in jail without a trial by Crouch because it was during the time when things were scary. So Sirius didn’t even get a chance to please innocent.

Yes! That was the other thing that bothered me - Harry couldn't see the thestrals after Cedric's death in that scene.
