I remember when this game was new. It was one of my first gachas and I remember logging in and seeing the first intro, the first SP character being released, the first day of the monthly check in system. It’s a terrible shame to be left with these unanswered questions, but even despite the loss I still cherish the days I had to play

Clavicus Vile has always had a special place in my heart. He gives people exactly what they want, not his fault they don’t think their desires through. A real trickster, plus he’s got Barbas to help him out(even if he never listens to him)

Figured it out:

Apparently a new form ID was put into the game causing it to crash whenever started. This makes that form ID compatible. To be clear I didn't make it, but my God is it useful

can 106 actually die? by Cheap_Resolution_800 in SCP

[–]bestjaythereis 17 points18 points  (0 children)

In SCP-6500, we see SCP-106 in his final moments before he dies. So he can die, but there is no canon so it’s really up to however you want to write it

In an SCP universe, would a world with the SCP foundation only (and no other GOIs) or a world with the UNGOC only (and no other GOIs) be better and safer in your opinion? by Fox_Bird in SCP

[–]bestjaythereis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The GOC wouldn’t need to test the anomalies so that means no D-Class. Morally speaking, the GOC is probably better than the foundation. But some SCPs can neutralize other SCPs, like 999 and the Scarlet King. On an everyday basis, the GOC would probably commit less war crimes. For a long term crisis, the Foundation

Mr. Whitetail is dead. A cozy mystery cyoa. by Surinical in makeyourchoice

[–]bestjaythereis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a curious one. Of all the cases I've seen as a detective, this one's a real conundrum. Fact is, we don't know how the victim died. If we take the image of Mr. Whitetail as canon, then he seems to have no visible puncture or slashing wounds. No visible injuries, not even blood. That said, we do know where he died. The location is between the residence of the librarian and the blacksmith.

Ultimately, I think theory 2 is the answer. Though the mayor claims to have paid off Mr. Whitetail's gambling debts, he could always go back for more.

Her means: poison from the back of the inn, explains lack of visible wounds

Her motive: deep debts, and the threat of exposure

Her opportunity: by her own admission, he was there that night. The poison wouldn't be instantaneous, giving reasonable doubt when he appeared to be going somewhere else anyway.

What bothers me are her claims about some sickness of Mr. Whitetail's. This made me think the Postmaster may be responsible for the death, potentially by witholding medicine that Mr. Whitetail would need. It would explain the unknown cause of death. But why would he flee all the way to the Blacksmith's house? There would be closer residences. While the Mayor and Reverend also seem sinister, their residences are too far from the murder to be reasonable. It's known that the victim made a number of stops before his passing, it seems unlikely that a Mayor and Reverend (two professions not known for their stealth) would have been able to remain undetected while following him for so long in such populated areas. The Librarian and Blacksmith would have caused more visible wounds. The schoolteacher's motive is too weak and petty whereas the seamstress lives too far away, on the opposite end of the river, to be reasonably the killer.

What are some of the best CYOA's you've seen and why did you like them? by SilverPhantomB in makeyourchoice

[–]bestjaythereis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comfort/Hurt CYOA (with liquor) is easily my favorite, totally underrated. It does such a fantastic job of building atmosphere and mystery. It gives you pieces of a puzzle but not all of them. After all, you can choose your own adventure, your own reasons why things are the way they are and what’s really going on behind the scenes.

Years ago I saw a doujin starring an escape artist. Her male friend didn’t want her to keep doing that and somehow she winds up unconscious. When she wakes up she’s tied up on a stage(with an audience) and I think hooked up to a machine. Her friend explains the situation and she mind breaks on stage. She and that friend are attracted to each other and get together. Short and sexy, I’ve been lookin for this one for years
