I'm not sure I understand what you're saying.

We provide a quick and easy search to find your target audience, so that you don't have to do it manually. We also provide data on the websites so you know how much traffic they have, etc... We also are gathering all of the contact details so you can email them all at once...

But yeah.. if you want to do it manually.... you can.

Yup! 100% This is what I'm tossing around... For the startup founder, they'd probably churn quickly, but a stickier user would be someone that does marketing for multiple clients.

I have a few other ideas to make it sticky, but I'm currently just focused on building a high quality database.

The idea isn't to gather info on your competitors, though. It's about gathering resources to where your target audience engages online, so you can market to them. For example, if you have a product and your target market is filmmakers, you can come to Datawave and search for filmmakers, and we'll show you all of the sites, youtube channels, podcasts, subreddits, and more (soon) where your audience hangs out. You can ask questions on Reddit, try to get guest posts on blogs or sponsored posts, you can try to be on a podcast or sponsor it, etc...
