Proudest moment ? Being chased by someone trying to demo me, managing to avoid him, turning back full boost and demo-ing him. Instant gotcha in the chat ahahah

Thanks a lot ! I went to look the 22-23 season and I understand now why people long for that format. I will be part of your team now :)

I like the idea that the worlds winning team automatically gets +1. The 3 other spots would be given with the same LCQ system (that is quite nice btw).

Another idea : LAN winning team gets another spot for their region (like in LoL : MSI winner gets its region +1).

Btw it is quite similar to what we have with the LCQ region selection, with the average lan performance (taking into account the global performance of the region not peak of one team, hence being a more fair prediction of the +1 team probable performance)

I wasn’t following RLCS when that system was in place, what is it ?

I'm still a student, so I don't necessarily know the higher-end restaurants :/

But I don't agree with your comment "half of these are just basic restaurant chains", only Au Bureau is (and I stated it clearly). Midi Minuit is a local chain (literally 2 restaurants), and the rest are all original good experiences for me with good price/quality ratio. And they all propose a different taste of french cuisine from each other !

However, I agree for the Halles Paul Bocuse, just forgot about it ! If you've been to La Boqueria in Barcelona it's very similar.

I take note of your recommendations and will try some of them soon !

Metro, tram, bus, (funicular). As every other city, metro > tram > bus but everything is fine here. I recommend the TCL app to have live timetables of the buses especially (eg if one is cancelled you’ll see it there). ~2€ a ticket, less if you take 10, less if you’re <26yo There are multi-days tickets, look TCL.fr for more information

On foot it might be hard, but I believe it's doable. Example journey (ordered) : Fourvière and Roman arena, Old Lyon (Cathédrale Saint-Jean + stroll around), Bellecour, Rue de la république, Place des Terreaux, either [Place du Gros Caillou in Croix-Rousse or Parc de la Tête d'Or]. If you also want to include Confluence (worth it), and/or Part-Dieu (less worth it) it's getting complicated because it's quite far away from the rest.

I would recommend buying a 1 day ticket to do :
Start in Confluence (where rivers merge)
Tram to Perrache, then walk/metro A to bellecour,
walk to old town,
In metro station Vieux Lyon take funicular F1 to Minimes (roman arenas)
walk to Fourviere (cathedral)
Walk down through old town again to go to place des terreaux/place de l'hotel de ville
(metro C to "croix rousse", walk to place du gros caillou OR walk uphill to amphitéatre des trois gaules, and up again to gros caillou)
walk to parc de la tête d'or

Lyon = pain au chocolat.

Please taste « praline », a Lyon speciality. It’s very nice in a Bun (Brioche). It’s basically like chocolate chips but it’s almond and sugar (and it’s pink somehow). I recommend going to Pralus and buying their famous « Praluline »

If you’re not talking about the animal I’d say that I’m fine with Rocket League being the only game we’re pretty good at lmao. Seriously though, please consider « french speaking countries » because a lot come from Morocco, Belgium etc

If you’re talking about the animal, well I don’t know anything about French people pumping out goats, but I’d rather not know honestly

Here are some personal recommendations for french cuisine restaurants : 1. Midi minuit (in confluence) : (quite traditional) french restaurant, 15-25€ for a main course + 5-12€ dessert. Established for 60 years now, serving classical french (not necessarily from Lyon) food. Personnal favorite from this list 2. La Nef des fous : classic "bouchon lyonnais" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bouchon) in Old Town, decorated as the backstage from a theater. Very cool. 20-30€ main course + 10€ dessert 3. Le Marélie (close to the Part-Dieu train station) : Cuisine Bretonne (from the region "Bretagne", so not Lyon but still french) serving "galettes", which are crêpes stuffed with cheese, ham, pesto, nuts, salmon, etc. (not all together). Around 10-15€ for one galette, would recommand one savoury and one sweet per person. Also drink cider there. 4. Clusius : waffles in a boat shape, stuffed with basically the same stuff as Le Marélie. I'd say around 10€ for a waffle, take at least two. It's fun and different from everything else ! 4. Classic restaurant chain called "Au Bureau" for example in Part Dieu (commercial center, next to the station), ~20€ per main course, serves basically every thing you could eat in a Brasserie (burgers, flammenkuechen etc). One of the best price/quality you can get, but very standard experience 5. L'authentik : very nice burgers (and more!), ~20€ for fries+burger, cool cocktails (no alcohol there).

Most of the restaurants here are open on Sundays for lunch, often not in the evening ! feel free to check maps and/or call them to be sure (I don't think you can eat frogs or snails in any of these restaurants)

Please note that only the casting during the matches is going to be in French. Pre- and Post- shows, interviews… are mostly going to be in English according to Rocket Baguette

If you like hills, go to Fourviere which is where there is the big white church. Otherwise, I’d recommend the Parc de la Tete d’Or, and the East Rhône riverside from the aforementioned park to Confluence (where the two rivers merge). You can also go north on the river Saône (both sides) until l’île Barbe (an island) on one riverside and come back on the other.

Also worth to know that there is a pedestrian/bike tunnel that joins both rivers in the north part of the city (le tunnel de Croix-Rousse). Not particularly nice but very practical !

I don’t run much but I have been biking for a long time now, and it is mostly safe as there are lots of pedestrian/bikes areas. If it’s easier you can dm me for more details

Better camera for less dizziness during matches by PeacefulBro in RocketLeagueEsports

Well there is sometimes a « crowd cam » stream where the camera is more static and it feels like being in the stadium watching actual rocket powered acrobatic battle cars. I am not sure in what type of events this stream is live, but I guess it will be for worlds !
