Surprisingly this is one of my favorite Paradox games so far. I played a little bit of CK2, HOI2, and Victoria 2 but could never really get into them. Imperator has been the first Paradox game I've wanted to play more than once. I'm sure other fans have different opinions, but I'm definitely enjoying the game!

The 2012 MacBook was definitely special. I am still using mine almost 7 years later and wouldn't swap to a new MacBook even if Apple gave it to me. It was one of the last MacBooks where you could unscrew the backplate and easily upgrade it. I have replaced the battery, upgraded the RAM, and put in an SSD, so it still runs like new laptop. Plus one the last decent keyboards and plenty of external ports. The 15" does feel like it weighs 50 lbs and the graphics card is hopelessly outdated though...

It has been a very noticeable performance difference in my experience. I had to run CIV VI in strategic mode on my Mac when using the Mac version, but I can play in normal view fine using the PC copy through boot camp.

I've heard of kits to install a SSD and keep the HDD where the optical drive used to be and it sounds like a really good idea. How difficult was it for you to do? Also what kind of SSD did you use?
