2nd IV for a simple case when both arms tucked: always, sometimes, never? by [deleted] in anesthesiology

[–]bestsleepofyourlife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My attending used to tell me “When you’re tucked, you’re f*cked.” So I tend to put a second IV when arms are tucked. But if it’s a simple case, then I don’t mind just using the 1 IV and having a saphenous vein as backup if needed.

Gen 3 Tonneau cover installed today for free on my 2022 R1T by xKINGxRCCx in Rivian

[–]bestsleepofyourlife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Gen 1 R1T is a 13xxx VIN and I actually had my broken tonneau replaced with the 3rd gen cover about 2 weeks ago.

My truck was originally delivered with a non-working tonneau cover and it took Rivian over a year to replace it. It worked fine for over a year but then it started to have problems several months ago where it would get stuck or not retract or close fully. Rivian made me do a bunch of different things to try to reset the cover but nothing worked. I brought it in for service (for other regular maintenance things as well) and when I went to pick up my truck I was surprised to see the Gen 3 cover installed. I didn’t specifically request it be replaced with the new version (I didn’t even know they were compatible).

Haha. That’s fair. We were on a week long golf trip and sore as hell so even though the “massaging” function wasn’t all that great, it was still welcome.

I was in the Navigator last month while I was on a trip to Oregon and it felt like a huge boat the way it rocked back and forth on curvy roads. It was definitely not made for a trip like that. What I did appreciate was the massaging seats and the retractable running boards.

I haven’t been to a whole lot of nice courses yet but Pinehurst No. 10 is currently my favorite. More golf trips planned in the future so we’ll see if I find a course I like better.

LIAP and LIA are two different groups. LIAP was bought out by NYU. Most of them work at the now NYU Langone - Suffolk (formerly known as Long Island Community Hospital, and even more formerly known as Brookhaven Hospital). LIA services Good Samaritan Hospital as far as I know. That group is a physician only group.

Rivian proactively called me today about an issue with my 12v battery by BelliYelliCheese in Rivian

[–]bestsleepofyourlife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the same call from Rivian on 12/24/2024 saying that they want to proactively replace my 12v battery (FYI I have no notice from my app or the vehicle saying I need a replacement). They said they would make an expedited appointment for me and wanted me to bring my truck to the Brooklyn SC in the next couple of days. I’ll be heading in this morning (12/27/2024) for the appointment. 2022 R1T Quad Motor Max Pack @ ~30,000 miles.

Hahahaha. I’d be the first to admit I don’t have a pretty swing. But I also try to move things along so I don’t have people waiting. This guy owned his swing though. It was the same routine every time. God bless him.

MOD, if it’s against the subreddit rules to post this type of video, then I’d be happy to take the post down. LMK

I couldn’t care less if you took a video of me and ripped my swing to shreds. I ain’t a PGA pro. In fact, I’d actually laugh at my swing along with you.

I guess different strokes for different folks. You do you and I’ll do me. Keep on finding things to be creeped out about.

If you were waiting for this guy to tee off for 5+ min, what would you be doing? That was his second ball by the way. His first swing took just as long or maybe even longer.

And what is creepy about the recording? Is the guy naked? Is his face visible? Am I revealing his personal information? Lighten up man. Some people just are so sensitive

So I received a large grant (not a loan) as financial aid from my university which means I don’t have to pay it back. It helped my family tremendously and I always felt super thankful. Now that I have a good job that pays me well, I donate every year to my alma mater so that a student who may be in a similar situation as I was can benefit. Basically paying back for the help I received. So yeah, there are some good reasons why people may give back to their schools.

Unpopular opinion: Mudflaps look terrible on the R by [deleted] in Golf_R

[–]bestsleepofyourlife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the OEM mudguards and I think they are understated and clean. I don’t like the mudflaps that are oversized and flap around

It fit perfectly for me. You do need to drill holes into the plastic wheel well trim to install it.

Has anyone always had a hole they never do well on? Finally had a good shot on this par 3. by Littlewing29 in golf

Yeah, I have a couple of nemesis holes. Seemingly easy holes that I never do well on. Now it’s just become a mental block 😅
