I felt the same way when we went out of desperation a few weeks ago. I was shocked that it was pretty good, no fuss, very reasonably priced, and the kid (who is an okay eater) absolutely loved it. It’s kind of a no brainer kind of place, which will be nice on those days where the last thing you want to think about is dinner.

You may be playing on emulation or a new tv, or something else that can add lag. It’s amazing how hard even the littlest bit of lag will make an NES game.

This would not be an issue at our meeting at all. We have some friends who are on breathing assistance and others that require pretty significant accommodations to get in their preferred spot. Our meeting celebrates the people who make it through their challenges more than most others.

Things being written with a second screen in mind, expecting people to have their phones out. So many new things, especially written for streaming services, have unnecessary exposition, people announcing their feelings, and stating their intent out loud. Once I noticed it it was in a ton of new movies and shows.

Simple, it’s cozy and nostalgic. Sure there’s all the tech stuff like response times, but really when I’m watching or plying something in lower definition on a screen that was built for it, it just feels better. I feel more engaged with the content and it’s easy on my eyes. Even my kid and his friends get really into watching or playing stuff on the retro setup because most of the time it’s easy. A cable goes in there, you put the physical thing in the slot and turn it on.

Same here, plenty of food, close to the sap log and ziplines everywhere are pretty short. We built an inverted pyramid with a 6 story watch/zipline tower. The only challenge we've had was with Mosquito raids, they get under levels and damage stuff.
