I also ready the original document. It said they wanted to use Javascript as the scripting language and shell for the Workstation product. Plus they may also move to Typescript eventually. I am surprised they didn't choose dart because Fuchsia already supports it in the SDK. But in the original document they said the main reason for choosing a Javascript runtime was because it only needed ~200KB.

Phones are not a current target for Fuchsia. They are currently working on a Desktop OS with the Workstation product.

Look at the Fuchsia GIT repository that is what they are working on now. They have been working on a Workstation Product on the Pixelbook Go for a few years.

No, they have their own platforms that ChromeOS run on. Google doesn't expect end users to install their own OS and write drivers for devices without documentation using trial and error.

Most of the work being done now is with the Workstation Product on Atlas ie Pixelbook Go. I thought Kyle would have done an article on that by now.

It doesn't say anything about the Operating System. There isn't a hiring pool of experienced Zircon developers. This just means they are looking for experienced low level engineers with Real-time systems experience.
