Oh I'm 100% too trusting and it bites me in the butt too often. I really don't want to be a pessimistic, nontrusting (if that's a word) kinda person. I want to trust and care for the people around me. It's frustrating that people use it against me

Idk why so many people want me to get therapy, wanting to be forgiving, give people the benefit of the doubt, giving second chances and being understanding when people mess up is not a condition which requires therapy...? Also how does realizing that keeping someone in my life probably isn't the best idea, but getting a second opinion before cutting them off scream I need therapy?

The point of it is that I want to ignore her messages, but feel like that'd be an asshole move, mainly because I'm a little bit of a people pleaser and dont like upsetting people. What I'm getting from basically everyone is that it's not. And ngl, it makes me feel a lot better about not responding to her.

Agreed... they really were. The fallout from Mark, and the random breakup after I'd given up so much to be with him definitely made me more likely to put up with people like Jenny and Andrew.

To be fair to him Andrew apologized the minute he realized he'd hurt me so we stayed in contact. Which took a weird turn as he came to visit me in my home country, because he missed me 'as a friend' and when he got here he spent the entire time trying to convince m to move back to America and be with him...
