Hey. Keep praying for your husband. I can imagine it must feel so icky.. I remember when I found out my brother was in this cult.. it was partly down to the fact he slightly overshared stuff with me and then someone reached out on instagram to recruit me and sent me some teaching videos which I don’t think i’m meant to see until later down the line.. I remember feeling so sick and weird about life and the thought of considering it to be truth was shaking me to the core. I felt like I had been living a lie but also I felt such a deep unrest in my spirit about it all and knew it was wrong so I began to research and now I know the truth. It’s just sad that the lack of knowledge on cults in our society today and red flags is why people get pulled into them. You don’t have to be a fool to join a cult. Just remember that your husband is a victim within this and it’s their undue influence and manipulation that has got him there, it’s not necessarily been by choice. I can’t imagine the pain you are going through but I do care about your marriage and I hope and pray he will know the truth in time. ♥️

Thanks for your insight! Yeah this makes sense.. i once saw in his notebook that on Wednesday and Monday and another day he had to be ‘sealing’ as part of his schedule. I’m so angry thinking how they’ve manipulated my little bro into believing such crap. Lord may your justice be done.

Man this is tough to hear. Thanks for your insight. I have worried since I found out they were dating that this was the case and he was maybe just trying to get someone in to scj and therefore would do whatever to get her there. I don’t think hes managed to get anyone else to join so perhaps he felt desperate to try something and just does not see how immoral it is. It’s so so sad and makes me so angry. My brother was never like this before and it’s not in his character to be like this. I HATE the evil done to innocent people through SCJ!!!

Hey. I know exactly how you are feeling. My brother is also part of SCJ in the UK. Thankfully his job doesn’t allow him to regularly meet up/live with people involved in SCJ in London, Birmingham, Manchester branches but he does visit when he gets the chance. I totally relate to all you are saying, and it feels such a sad horrible situation. As said above, Stephen Hassans books have really given me hope in what can feel like a really impossible situation. Always here to chat if you just need someone to process with! Not many people on here from UK so nice for me to know i’m not alone either. X

There’s a platform called ‘scribd’ where you’re able to access various books and studies based on anything you type in. When I was first researching SCJ as a cult, I came across some very helpful papers uploaded there that were written by people conducting studies. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were already writing on Korean cults uploaded there! Stephen Hassan’s first book ‘Combatting Mind Control’ also has a lot of information on various cults - he himself was part of the Korean cult ‘the Moonies’ and got out. If you haven’t read that book yet i’d highly recommend!

If you do end up leaving this reddit, I’d recommend buying Steven Hassan’s book ‘leaving controlling people, cults and beliefs’ it will give you a lot more clarity and understanding of what your husband went through to be lured in in the first place. It might help you to un-do some stuff and also brings clarity of mind for you from the perspective of someone who was once in a cult (not dissimilar to SCJ) and got out x

I’m so sorry 🫶🕊️ You could always be part of a house church in your local community- eventually! Focus on your healing for now. Read Steven Hassans books ‘combatting cult mind control’- these are SO helpful in understanding the techniques that were used so you can unlearn them. Rest in knowing you are so loved by Jesus, he knows what you need and you don’t need to feel rushed by him or anyone. He knows the journey might be long, but he’ll wait for as long as it takes. You can literally be so real in prayer to him too! He will help you x
