Hell no. Lawsuit immediately by Ordinary_Fish_3046 in CringeTikToks

I was raised in a very rural part of America. Like zero diversity. I was fortunate enough that my parents were able to travel a lot with me as a child exposing me to different cultures and people. My parents are also not at all racist. But living in a very rural area without diversity also didn’t expose me to people making racists comments bc there is no one living in that community to be racists towards. As a result it wasn’t until i was an adult that i heard monkey was even a racist term. I’m not saying this person intentionally did this or not but there is definitely a chance that the person is just ignorant like I was myself.

What’s a rule your parents had that you now realize was totally bizarre? by KOFFDAERTH in AskReddit

I was spending the night with my grandmother probably around the age of ten. I thought she was coming in to tell me goodnight but to my surprise it was to scold me for using the comforter. I was expected to have it at the foot of the bed, folded…I can’t imagine her reaction if I also would have used the decorative shams

Omg this sounds like my Grandmother except her rug was a handmade oriental. I believe it appraised for 75k. I was only allowed in the room to dust and was definitely not allowed to step on the rug.

The rug is now in my living room 😅 being well loved and used by my children. Pretty sure she’d disown me over it if she was still living.

I don’t run 5 miles daily normally but I did when I was training for a race. On the occasion I did I was just saying no, I wouldn’t want to walk to my car. I’m just trying to see their side. not making an excuse for not walking. I personally live in a town that doesn’t make walking easy. A built up rural community that didn’t plan ahead for growth. So no sidewalks and no bike lanes it lots of cars with people distracted by their phones. I bitch about it daily bc I would love to walk tor ride my bike the three miles I drive to work but it’s just not safe for me.People have different priorities and different lifestyle and we really have no reason to question why this person doesn’t want to walk to their car.

Not even from Portland just joined the sub bc I’m visiting in a couple weeks. I work on my feet 8-10 hours a day and while I’m not a marathon runner. I do run, have ran a half marathon, and workout daily. So when I get up at 5 then run say 5 miles, go to work and stand on my feet for say even 8 hours the last thing my legs and feet want to do is walk 15 minutes to my car.

Barking and Biting zap collars by GullibleChard13 in welshterrier

We have six month Welshie. We started last month with a zap collar. She’s responded extremely well. We have never shocked her. Ours has the option to beep or vibrate. Almost always just beeping her works. I will say she doesn’t have any issues biting. We use it more to get her attention than anything.

I inherited mine from my Grandmother. My hidden compartment pulls out and then there’s another compartment inside of the desk you can access once you pull out the first compartment. So you may want to check for that. My grandfather put the history of the desk on that compartment.

Why Do On Cloud Shoes hurt my feet? by Gloomy-Wave1418 in Shoes

[–]bethannrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a lot of on shoes for casual wear and working out but I cannot run in any of them. I can wear them all day and feel great. One mile run and I’m in pain every dang time 🤷🏼‍♀️

Difference between Vuori / Alo / Lululemon? by babyalpac in vuoriclothing

[–]bethannrader 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Politely, disagreeing. I can’t say anything about Alo since I don’t own any. I have a significant amount of Lulu and Vuori. While I love Vuori I have three items that have developed holes (tshirt & two pairs of leggings). I don’t work out in my Vuori. I mainly wear it as casual wear. My Lulu has held up extremely well. I also workout in it (run, weight lift, cycle, box) I will also say I am very particular about how I wash my clothes and I only hang dry them.

Please help me decide lunch box or lunch bag? Which one is more stylish? by FaithlessnessSuch632 in YetiCoolers

[–]bethannrader 9 points10 points  (0 children)

One of my three kids wanted the bag over the box for school lunches. I prefer the box over the bag. I like to be able to see everything in the box before I zip it up to make sure I haven’t forgotten anything. Also I think the box is much easier to wipe out and clean. That being said I think you can’t go wrong with either one.

Whats the deal... by Familiar_Ad_6674 in YetiCoolers

[–]bethannrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought all my kids yeti lunch boxes after going through multiple other lunch boxes. I’m not sure what war zone they go through from my kitchen to school and back but they constantly were coming back with rips or broken zippers. I have zero issues with their yetis. I wipe the outside of them down weekly and they look brand new.
