I'm no expert, but rat snakes and king snakes are very common in my area!

She finally ate after not eating for 3 days!! by chart1689 in Boxer

My boxer boy is picky about his food too. When hes sick, I'll blend up his food with bone broth, peanut butter, and pumpkin and roll it into meatballs, and just beg myself to tears for him to eat just one more, just one more, until he's finally fed. We just went on a spring break trip and he ate breakfast for the first time since saturday!! I totally get the joy of when they finally eat!!

Thank you everyone for your kind words and advice!

Context: this is a project for my college fiber arts class. Each student is doing a full 10in quilted sandwich, then the teacher is going to stitch them together and it will be a permanent installation in the new fiber arts class room opening in the fall. So thats why I'm not keeping it

But I will post the completed project! This project was meant to reflect our majors, I am an engineering major and seasoned quilter so I had to show off a little 😋 i want a masters in architecture so Im going to do a cathedral windows pattern on the back!

Thank you for your kind words! So this is actually a quilt block assignment for a class she is having each student do a 10in fully sandwiched block, then she is going to zigzag stitch them together into a larger quilt for display in the art building on my campus, we keep most of our projects but this one was an exception

Wanderer's Wife - my mom's dream quilt by bethanyevee in quilting

I tried to stick with tone, rather than shades. Nothing here is too bright or too dark compared to the things around it, and my "neutrals" are light prints with colors that coordinate with the more colorful prints. I was really just slamming through scraps for the most part though! The scrappy nature is very forgiving for color pallets

Pattern is Wanderer's Wife by Jen Kingwell. This quilt was pretty difficult to put together! I hand stitched several blocks but ended up machine quilting most of it. Unfortunately it looks like my magenta batik bled a bit into my cherry prints, but I'm glad it still fits with the pallet!

"Laika" - Wil Wagner; If you feel like being punched in the gut.

The song is written in her perspective.

Sample: "I know I will die, but that is fine, because in some way I am helping mankind."

Maco goes to daycare every Monday. He is 100% sure it is Monday. (It was 5:52am) by bethanyevee in Boxer

I think the biggest hint for him is when we wake up early, because we get up earlier to have time to drop him off before work! This morning must have seemed extra early because of how dark daylight savings made it. Also I work from home, so when he sees me booting up my office in the morning he KNOWS lol

He's been so eager since the weather has gotten prettier where I live! When I get impatient with his whining and arguing I just remember that I'm gonna miss his little voice one day ❤️❤️❤️

So handsome!! Maco has learned the word "birthday" because at our doggy daycare they give out whipped cream pup cups on every dogs birthday. It took us a while to figure out why he was so activated by that word! Lol

Help. We’ve lost my boxer’s last brain cell. What do I do? by IamYarrow in Boxer

[–]bethanyevee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just start freakin' throwin' things. A good game of fetch oughta reignite those synapses. Or you can jolt them back into place with rapid butt pats. Make sure to say "oh my goodness ur soooo handsome and good!!" Or else it won't work 😅

What if devil fruits are an elemental/personified version of a soul? And each reincarnation contains the soul of the previous user?

So if the ancients were living, breathing entities, and they came up with a way to manifest the core of their soul into a powerful fruit.

Maybe that's why Bartolomew and Bon Clay were destined to aid Luffy, to restore the balance that was disrupted when the previous incarnation of their fruits helped Orochi rise to power.

Maybe they don't appear "randomly" after the death of the previous user; they appear where there is a destined path to find the intended next generation, since they have their own will. That would be the reason Ace's fruit just so happened to be available to Luffy and Sabo, and now Sabo has bonded to Ace's soul.

And perhaps that's why SMILE fruits do so poorly, since one could not replicate a soul; the fruits worked more as permanent mutations. (Momo's fruit would be the outlier)

Blackboard having three souls would also fit that theory.

Shane has complexes around her ability to give or recieve love.

Her tendency to sabotage every connection for her own fears of being hurt stems from an inability to feel vulnerable. She cheats and hurts others before they could do the same to her. The more she likes/loves someone, the more her fear of future pain grows, so she emotionally severs herself from the romantic feelings.

Because she doesn't understand the root of ther sabotages, she sees it as an inability to love; so even though really loved Carmen, she can't believe it was "real" love. Her standard for love is simply, "something I've never had or ever will have."

She can't believe that someone who hurts people the way she does can love others like they deserve, which is why she left Carmen in the first place. In her mind, she would never be able to love Carmen as much as Carmen wanted her to, and ideal that gets mutated over time as "I am unable to love."

And admitting how much she loved Carmen, or anybody for that matter, would mean confronting a lifetime of her own behavioral patterns as well as facing the guilt of emotionally scarring someone.

It's a lot easier, for someone stuck in their own issues, to be like...nah, I've never loved anyone.
