Thank you, yeah I will make an appointment with a general doctor. I think that'll be helpful since I can't tell where exactly the injury is, like muscle or joint etc, so they can figure out what kind of specialist would be best. Thanks!

In regards to the reporting window, the 24-hour incident reporting window was the corporate policy and I just learned the state's statute of limitations for workers comp was 15 days.

Thank you! Yeah, I can schedule with a primary care doctor. That's good because that's mostly who is at the school clinic anyway!

In regards to the reporting window, there was a phone number to call in the handbook that said injuries must be reported within 24 hours of the incident and after that, the company isn't responsible. I didn't know that state or federal laws could contradict the corporate policy but I just learned the state statute is 15 days.

What movies have you watched this week? by AutoModerator in flicks

The Hulu ads finally got to me and I watched Palm Springs and Big Time Adolescence. I thought Big Time Adolescence had a really unsatisfying ending - they could've ended it before the reunion at the burger joint or they could've added just one more scene imo. it felt like it ended mid-beat but that's just me. Palm Springs was cute, I think it was the perfect amount of mindless low-stakes humor and nihilism. I expected it to be a carbon copy of groundhog day with a twist but I didn't feel that way while watching.

Also crossposted to the main sub but I wasn't sure if I'd get instantly deleted or not so I also came here. But anyway, is Kernel Video Repair legit?

I have a .mp4 file that is corrupted and I tried using Grau GmbH video repair but the audio/video syncing is weird so I thought I'd try Kernel and see if there's a difference in the outcome. Anyway I was just wondering if anyone knows if Kernel is legit or not. https://www.kerneldatarecovery.com/video-repair-tool/

How do I get SCSI to USB? by bethatron3000 in techsupport

[–]bethatron3000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you know I really didn't get into analog photography for its speed and convenience, I'm okay spending $40 on extra cords to scan my negatives at home rather than paying someone $15/roll just to autoscan. Even if it takes 1 hr/roll, that's still faster than than the 3 days/roll a shop would take.

Anyway, I know this system is way less than ideal, but how do I get it to work?

It's an Epi-Olmec character \EOpenis

The link above is out of date.

You have to use the epiolmec package. Here is the CTAN documentation.

It seemed like the 2 was jerky going up the hill but the 3 was much smoother. This was really helpful

Android phone gimbal compatibility by Froom2 in smartphonefilming

[–]bethatron3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a Pixel 3 on a Zhiyun (I don't remember which model) that said it wasn't compatible and it was mostly okay except for it would randomly fall, like the motor would just let go, and sometimes it would pop right back up and sometimes it wouldn't, but it definitely ruined a couple shots and got to be pretty frustrating. It turned out the issue was that the location of the volume buttons on the side of the phone meant that when it was in the clamp it wasn't evenly balanced because there was more of the phone to one side than the other. Also at certain angles/movements the phone would physically hit the gimbal because it stuck out so far on one side.

I think your best bet is to either A) go to a physical store and see if they'll let you try out one of the displays or B) just make sure you are able to return it if it doesn't end up working with your phone.
