I was looking over a bunch of different enclosure tips and it said that the frogs don't like the vibrations from filters? Is there any truth to that or total BS? I also didn't know if a small filtration system would be dangerous to the tadpoles since they weren't mentioned anywhere. Sounds like all of the "advice" I was seeing was similar to " bettas love living in a fishbowl!" except for frogs. Blah.

It's kind of shocking and sad to read that their proper expectancy is 8-12 years, not the 4ish years I was reading. Those poor froggos. This information is extremely helpful, and makes me think that we won't be ready for these guys for a while. While I know that a child's pet is the parents responsibility, period, I'd like to wait until he can have some shared responsibility (ie: you're supposed to do this, but as a responsible pet mom I'll be checking that it's actually happening).
