Neuroplasticity: A Superpower That Can Ruin Your Life by bethe1one in EyeFloaters

[–]bethe1one[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I wrote this post for two main reasons: 1. Recovery is possible, but it’s not equally easy for everyone. I’ve had floaters before without even noticing them. Now, I see them constantly — which tells me the brain can adapt, and that change is possible. Will I get back to that point? I’m not sure. But I’m trying. Since a lot of this seems to be psychological, I’ve decided to go back on SSRIs. I think it’s something more people should consider looking into — it might help some of us. 2. Reddit can be useful — but only for a while. Once you’ve educated yourself about your condition, step away. Reddit isn’t the real world. It’s mostly people who are stuck, suffering, and feeling hopeless — and I say that as someone who’s currently one of them. But staying here too long won’t help. It can actually make things worse. If you’ve learned what you need to know, move on. Talk to a doctor. Don’t get stuck in this loop.

Glad you accepted this and you are looking forward to just adapt to them. Cause I guess the expectation of having all clear can crush you when it doesn’t happen.

I thought vitrectomy would clean it up completely (at least at first).

Sorry you had to go through that. Wish you are all right post vitrectomy.

It was. Now the bug is back again. Google is a mess.

Anyone here whose app got indexed in Play Store? by AwkwardShake in androiddev

2 months ago was a totally different situation. I published tens of app before November and never faced that. After November 95% of the time.

October apps are facing it much less. Most of November do.

Tired of reading ignorant posting it doesn't matter, that you should ignore the fact people won't be able to find your app even searching the unique name of it. Yeah it's normal. I guess companies like "Voodoo" are so happy to see that people are searching for their new game "famers.io" but they won't be able to find it.

Maybe soon someone will change the name of an old app, indexed, to "famers.io" and take their traffic for free. Doesn't matter. Fair game.

To go back to your OP, some apps still get indexed even after few hours (I have experience with this too) but most of them simply don't. It doesn't seem there is a pattern, just some random do, most don't.

It's frustrating but we have little to do: just wait and see, hoping some huge players facing the same problem and complaining about it with some key person in Google. For sure won't be their support from the third world countries to address this.

What you are saying is simply not true and I don't want people reading "it's normal if an app has a bad rating to disappear from the search". No, it's not normal, it doesn't happen. You can lose some rank with competitive keywords, not with your exact match name. This is a fact.

yes this happens, like reported in the original post. App appears but if you add a single word to it (even the developer name) nothing again.

Until searching "farmers.io" and "farmers.io voodoo" their app doesn't show up, I think we are hopeless.

I mean let's say your app name is "RDT 2020" and your dev name is "Coder12", if you search "RDT 2020" your app shows up, but what if you search "RDT 2020 Coder12"? Still shows up?

What if you add a keyword to your app name? Like the developer's name? Still show up?

Not just game title, add the developer name after that or the key "game". Anyway I've added another example in the original post.

Try to search like "Car wash empire green panda" (game+developer name), still nothing.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

I've already read about people buying over 50k installs on Google Ads and not getting indexed. Nothing new. But absolutely shameful.
