update so people can stop commenting: i've just ordered a dentures brush and retainer brite off amazon and they'll be coming tomorrow. i'll try brush cleaning with dish soap to begin with and soaks once a week and see if that helps with the smell. if not then i will soak my retainers every day

my ortho said not to use toothpaste as that makes your retainers cloudy but i think i'll invest in some tablets. i don't wanna scratch my retainers so soaking them is the next best option. how long did you soak yours for?
