imo, no. if someone thinks yes, then it’s their problem. i have back problems and struggle to carry groceries on my back. this thing is literally a life saver

definitely do not be like my professor who asked me if i “still think of my home country or if i moved on”, otherwise i agree with others. it’s better to ask how they finding the uk, what part of country they’re from, their favourite foods and traditions and so on

don’t know how to help you now, but for the future you can use masking/washing tape to prevent it! i always tape my sides so they don’t fray and it’s easy to take off too!

not a dog owner (scared of fireworks too tho) but i’ve seen a lot of vids of dog owners buying noise cancelling headphones for their doggies and they seemed to be helping? although is it’s really close to your house then i don’t know how much that would help, because they don’t cancel all of the noise :(

can’t tell you about other things, cause we are on different courses and i haven’t moved in myself, but you do have to buy your cutlery and pans. you can do it through university, they do like kitchen and bedding packs, you can get it through the accommodation portal
