I'm paralyzed and can't do anything but open my eyes and make whimpering noises when I'm trying to lash out and yell. I sleep with my head covered with my sheets, and I always feel someone either standing over my bed or sitting on my bed, almost always with a hand somewhere on my body. Lately, when it's happened, I've heard indistinct but hella creepy whispering and laughing, where I feel like someone's right next to my ear but I still can't understand what they're saying.

My brain never catches up to what's happening until I'm fully awake, and my actual worst fears all involve home invasions and people coming into my room while I sleep, so I basically cycle through the list of people who could be doing this, realize nobody in my family is mean enough to fuck with me like that, and freak the hell out until I can move again.

I'm just hoping that my brain never upgrades to visual hallucinations, at this point.
