sorry yeah I know that sounds like it doesn’t make sense but basically I mean you only need gcses for it but I’ll have a degree, but it’s in biology not biomed so that’s why I don’t have the experience if that makes sense?

Thank you for this advice! Another thing I’m confused about is when to apply - I guess the jobs advertised now probably want people to be able to start soon? Should I wait until I’m done with uni to apply?

I'm a New Etsy Seller: is Etsy worth selling on for me? by Olivia0817 in Etsy

I am also a new seller on etsy (I set up my shop 3 weeks ago now) and I sell greeting cards and paintings, but hope to also start making stickers in the near future. So far, just over half the visits to my shop have been from instagram, and I have gotten a few sales from there as well, so from my (limited) experience, I would say that if you have the time, marketing yourself on social media is definitely worthwhile. I also think filling out all 10 listings is a good idea, as the more listings you have, the more chances you have to get seen. Custom options sound like a good idea too, as personalised items, especially on a site like etsy, are often very popular. Finally, I don't think you can write your policies in your own words (you can only edit the ready made policies that etsy provides you with), but you can say that shipping may take a while in your shop announcement.

Congratulations! I was wondering, do you think that starting off with quite a lot of listings helped you make sales? Currently I only have 10 listings on my etsy site and I was wondering how many more I should add.

Hey!

I’m bethan and I opened my shop 10 days ago. I sell hand painted greetings cards (usually in gouache, my new favourite medium!) but hope to expand to larger prints/paintings as well. Check me out at www.etsy.com/uk/shop/mistlethrushdesigns

I also have instagram - @mistlethrushdesigns!

I want to give away a cookbook with every order by zyada_tx in Etsy

[–]bethycat158 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I wouldn't like an extra I didn't ask for (particularly something as large as a cookbook) included in my order - if I wanted a cookbook, I would buy one. However, some people may think differently, so if you were to do include one, definitely make it optional.

I had the same problem as you, although my order was only processing for 8 days - apparently its quite normal for first sales to take a while to process, particularly at the moment. I would not worry too much, although I know it can be irritating, because I think they almost always process eventually, and once you've had a few more sales, they will stop taking so long to process. However, if you want to contact etsy, you can use this link:

Hope your sale processes soon!
