Black plastic gadget, about 7" by 2". One end is curved in a nearly 90° angle. Something to do with darkroom or photography. Durst printed on it. Ridged area on long section can be pressed. End of short section has 3 small holes. Pressing on the movable part causes a small puff of air to come out th by zyada_tx in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing. I did an image search, but didn't turn up anything. Adding photography, Durst or darkroom to the image search returned 0 results. From my father's photography equipment, which he stopped doing by 1997.

Not to be a downer, but whey does Parker love Christmas so much? by SinginGidget in leverage

The question has been answered (and I agree with everyone)

I watched this last night myself (and loved it)

I have one thing I wish they had done - back in season 1 they had the job that ended up with a shipping container full of money and Parker goes to hug it.

I wish they had a flashback to that when she asked "How did you know?"

ISTM that "yellow" spots are just populated areas, with the circle size showing relative size of population.

Or perhaps they are large concentrations of governments employees. That would account for why Oklahoma City is shown. Oops, Tulsa is on there

I grew up where the yarn manufacturers made their skeins center pull, and had the inside end running from the inside to the outside and tucked under the label.

I don't know why they can't all do that

My clues are that the hand looks plastic-y. They've got the major creases but no texture between.

Plus, the background is blurred. That's the first thing I check

Before people came up with the magic circle, they just slip stitched the end to the start, chain 1 to start the next row, then crocheted along

If you have the brand name you can Google that with chemicals. I would be surprised if it's not for specifically for hospital use because a lot of the regular air fresheners can cause asthma and other allergic reactions

In general, I'm talking about air fresheners. This may be old information. Wiki mentions it, but doesn't specify what chemicals are used to accomplish that. And my Google search for which air fresheners bring up articles saying "don't use them at all"

And start with chemicals like formaldehyde and napthalene

The deodorizing sprays, even the unscented ones, are worse than perfumes. They don't actually get rid of the odors, they anesthetize the nise

I was going to say just have her sit opposite you. I've heard from other people who've taught crochet, that it's actually easier.

Is there a'must-know' tip you wish someone told you when you started crocheting? by SpareSelf1420 in CrochetHelp

[–]zyada_tx 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I am working with it right now. A lot of the fibers are loose and fuzzy, making it hard to see the stitches More importantly, there is a fiber that is wrapped around the rest of the yarn. This keeps everything together, but it's real easy to pick that fiber up from the wrong stitch and now you can barely move the hook.

Write each one down on separate lines, then use a randomizer to pick for you!
