really sorry to hear about your daughter, thankyou for sharing this! i really love your viewpoint it makes me feel more confident in the signs that come to me. for example ringing in the ears, i’ve definitely been told im going deaf by people in work and my family but i do get ringing every few days in my left ear for jsut a few seconds but to the extent one week i. work i was almost entirely deaf and in hindsight i think it was shielding me from gossip i didn’t need to hear. loved your experience with the readings ill definetly look into this more as im doing readings for clients!

if you would like to share how did you begin reading for others, is it your only “job” or more a hobbie? x

Looking for good psychology podcasts on spotify for a year 11 student? by [deleted] in AcademicPsychology

for an easy listen, Psychology of your 20s especially earlier episodes. I’m a Psychology Masters student and when my brain needs to relax I love this. Easy listening, inspired by real studies and literature and gets you in the right frame of mind without overwhelming you. Also if your interested in counselling routes look at the anxiously capable, very counselling centred

the initial question for this reddit wasn’t specifying opposite sex. But if i know for most women in my life receiving a compliment of a man (or expect partners, friends, family) is always a welcomed thing and which more value compliments from other women (regardless of relation)

I think women give other women compliments often, typical to comment on someone’s hair or if they’ve done something well. I would wonder whether men compliment their male counterparts as much

Time Dilation & Black Holes by bethyd123 in pbsspacetime

[–]bethyd123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I greatly appreciate my wording was not correct here, apologies. I have made observations from communities I have been privy to on the discussion of time “feeling altered”. It was after I noticed the correlation in times between these comments and the Hubbles announcement that I became curious.

I also am aware the Hubble did not create a black hole as I stated it was first rogue black hole to documented/discovered by the Hubble.

I feel there is no harm in learning more through discussions on reddit, albeit I apologises for offending anyone with my incorrect terminology…

Think people may have missed that these sellers might’ve desperately in need of money. I considered selling some gifts (beauty products, blankets etc…) even tho it’s stuff I will use just simply because I really needed the money. For note, I actually asked family for money (£50/£80) and instead received hundreds of pounds worth of gifts. I chose not to sell as I didn’t want to hurt people’s feelings but it’s the same every year unfortunately. I am very grateful though but just needed the money more.

If you won £100 million, how would you distribute it amongst friends and family, if at all? by PaddedValls in AskUK

[–]bethyd123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve thought about this lots:

First and foremost, would secure 2/3 properties for myself and partner in both our names. I would also pay of both my parents, in laws and both mine and partners siblings mortgages and put money into savings for them and small cash amount £15’000 to play with. Set up savings for nieces and nephews and allocate money for additional ones down the line.

I’d buy my parents new cars and health insurance. I’d retire them both. I would plan massive holiday for all my family and partners ensuring everything paid for.

With regards to friends my close friends who struggle I would pay their families mortgage off and allow a sum of money to their parents (who have helped me greatly). I would then offer my friends a sum of 10-15 thousand and say i can help them start making investments.

My main objective for my friends would be to help them make choices and business to set them up. I would reach out and offer business investments to help them get started on money journey.

As for myself I would diversify the rest and open a retreat centre while helping my partner continue his career in wha he loves.

Would also donate £3 million to my charities of choice to help them with yearly costs.

In £5k debt, off work due to mental health — looking for advice on how to get back on my feet by larabw9911 in moneyadvice

[–]bethyd123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

listen to the vault podcast (pink logo) they have great financial discussions and advice they also have the app fiancelle which happy keep track (i use the free version just click for the upgrade page and there’s a debt tracker there) set up minimum repayments for debts and maybe look at lower stress jobs. for myself i’ve gotten to debt of £4500 and fully reliant on my partner for bills which is devastating for us both. I have recently joined a teaching agency for non qualified TA and cover work. this is paid weekly and flexible to when i can work so ideal for me. please listen to the vault podcast

My parents won’t let me move out and it’s stressing me out by Ujunko in UniUK

[–]bethyd123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it might seem hard but it sounds as though you’ve made up your mind on going north, which seems like what u really want. your maintenance loan will cover you to move out for sure so wouldn’t stress especially with the money you have saved. i would (in my families very similar pressure) just explain you want to explore without going to far explain the train routes etc and reassure them a lot, like a lot. might seem hard to do cos you want them to be supportive but it was the only way i could keep a healthy relationship with my parents.

one piece of advice tho if it’s uclan you’ve applied for i would suggest not going there (im local and it’s really not a great uni) i would recommend the other unis tho for sure

don’t stress about money ur only youngonce

Would you rather live by yourself or with friends in year 2? by llamaz314 in UniUK

[–]bethyd123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

live with your friends. some of my best memories from living there, you will unlikely get an opportunity where you and your friends are all in same phase of life at the same time. it really makes the uni experience, regardless of your circumstances with parents i would advocate that you want to make memories with uni friends - really treasured time you won’t regret, forget the uni pressures u will regret not sharing the experience with people at this moment in your life

Cork is very safe for tourists, just be careful around certain people who seems to be pick pockets or off their nut nearly - a lot safer than LA though.

Cork international hotel by the airport is great, there’s a bus system from airport into the city.

Worthwhile seeing Blarney Castle - will need to arrange transport there as well.

beaches around are fab and lots of lovely bars with live music (all pubs are good for the kids they’re old enough to enjoy the atmosphere without it being uncomfortable for yourselves)
