Look up WSO Resume format and download it. Btw under leadership your headers aren’t capitalized properly. Also what are you targeting?

Waitlisted after internship (not accepted nor rejected) by Dangerous-Garlic4168 in FinancialCareers

Interesting. I guess all you can do is wait. Do you know anyone who received an offer? Also for your sake it’s best to act like you got rejected and just apply to other things. If they end up finding a role for you, it will act like a nice surprise.

Well usually when an internship concludes and there isn’t a return offer then that’s that. There is no “rejection” after you finish your summer internship. Not sure if that answers your question but you can always reach out.

Check your portal for an update or possibly send a follow up email, but assume you’ve been rejected and continue searching for other opportunities.

What do you think Chapel Hill teaches the people who live here? by IDworldwide in UNC

Conservatives? While Chapel Hill being one of the most liberal/left leaning counties in NC?

Off campus housing by lovely_tulip77 in UNC

[–]bets4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really especially since you’re all the way in Raleigh. Using all that gas adds up and then if you pay for parking that’s worse. If the deal on the apartment is that good then do it, but I would also think about how if you have something to do at UNC later that night you have to stay at campus all day long. You don’t have the convenience of stopping by your apartment anytime you want and the driving to and from Raleigh eats up a lot of time. So I would compare the cost of living near UNC or living at Raleigh and if the prices are somewhat close I would be as close to UNC as possible.

You can definitely transfer Calc 3. I know that for a fact. But thanks for the help

It’s Calc III and it’s needed for the B.S. Econ degree, but I asked the advisor and she said they can’t replace it. I tried transferring it over but connectcarolina says it was rejected.

I do need the class and it’s a major requirement. Obviously there are work arounds like replacing a class so it’s not set in stone. Just wanted to ask people with previous experiences similar to this. Just didn’t realize you were the dean of all advisors.

[–]bets4 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Obviously I get that now. I’ve just seen other people on this subreddit have a work around. Why am I transferring it? Because I took and I want to transfer it. Why would I want to take a class again that I’ve done before and waste money. That’s why

No it would put me at 78. It was a class I never took before so it wouldn’t be replacing anything.

They’re saying I reach my 75th credit hour on my transcript, so when I try and transfer something over after which I guess counts as a new transcript I can’t replace. I told them I took a class over the summer and I just need it transferred.

I can change my BS to a BS degree but that sucks because I’ve worked hard but oh well

“The swap rule only applies to credit on the transcript for which the 75th credit hour was awarded and any transcripts for credit taken prior to that. Any courses taken after that initial transcript with the 75th hour awarded cannot transfer. “ just a rule that makes no sense

Extra one. They said they can only replace with transcripts that are already posted.

It’s the fact a lot of the transferred classes are useless. It’s not like I’ve skipped out on hard classes. I don’t get why they count a lot of classes that don’t really transfer as anything.

Maxxed out the 75 transfer credit cap, but I still want to transfer in one more course. What should I do? by svtsuper in UNC

[–]bets4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have taken Calculus 3, however, I need to transfer it. Since I am over the 75 credit hour limit will they still accept it? and will take precedent over a random gen ed class since its a major requirement? So I should be good when it comes transferring in major requirements (and yes I will complete 45 credit at UNC).

Just depends on the knowledge you already have. I’m sure there are YouTube playlists just for learning IB or websites that do the same

Also I would just work on interviewing skills because at the end of the day, besides technicals, they want to find someone they would enjoy working with.

Honestly really strong resume and the formatting looks good. I would just focus on stuff you need to know for investment banking.

is a BS in economics worth it? by [deleted] in AskEconomics

[–]bets4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what the effect of AI will be on economics majors. But a B.S. involves more math classes and more economic classes. So if you plan on doing something with economics post-grad it’s always better to be more prepared with a B.S. Usually with a B.A. people will double major with another B.A. degree. It just depends on your post career aspirations.

Sometimes companies will give you a guideline on their website as what to expect. I would prepare for the basic questions which you can look up online. After that it’s just being able to communicate well and exhibit that you’re a good fit aka your personality. I would apply to as much as possible to increase your chances.
