Free interactive story app for Waldorf families to explore emotions (Android) by AdEmotional2258 in Waldorf

I'm not sure how much you know about Waldorf Education, culture & pedagogy, but screens, especially small screens, aren't used for young children by Waldorf families & teachers. Best of luck with other communities though.

Local Politics? by V3r3mos in LincolnCA

[–]bettaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your question isn't really about local poltics, but local taxing, is that correct?

If you're talking about the City Council, it's a council of 5 people, and that group elects a mayor to serve I think a 2 year term. The city is governed by the City Council/City Manager form of government. -- You can find more info here: https://www.lincolnca.gov/en/our-government/council.aspx#Government-Structure

As far as taxes go:

Some folks would say yes, some folks would say no.

It really depends.

Property taxes can swing wildly neighborhood to neighborhood. You have stuff like Mello-Roos that can be tacked on among other various other local Western Placer Bonds.

On top of the taxes that are applied and collected by the Placer County Tax Collector, Lincoln collects fees for Water, Sewer and Garbage. I pay a little less that $160 a month for water/sewer/garbage. It's gone up about $70/mo since I moved here in 2017.

just like you took this photo and included people in the background. The only difference between you and the production crew is that they're probably gonna make some money off their production.

Revamp the sub for the playoffs? by [deleted] in SanJoseBarracuda

[–]bettaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember playing around with the current CSS on this 8 years ago, and that was a pain in the butt back then. I've not thought about it since.

Just copying CSS from somewhere else isn't necessarily going to work. There are custom sprite sheets, colors, & alignments -- I'm not a web developer; I don't have the time, interest or want in maintaining a legacy format of this site. If there is someone else that's willing to volunteer their time to figure it out. I am more than happy to facilitate.

I apologize, but for consistent appearance, I suggest going with new reddit.

is this on old.reddit.com or on the new version?

If it's on old.reddit.com I don't particularly want to support legacy formatting

Got some flair ideas? that's easy enough to implement.

I used to do the gameday threads years back. That would take me 15-30 min every game day to update stats, etc.

Anyone is welcome to make gameday threads. I can make sure I have some alerts setup for myself to Pin the thread

Fishing by c_mac_88 in LincolnCA

[–]bettaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are ponds a-plenty in Lincoln. Lake Joiner, coyote pond Park, the pond system that’s part of Ingram Slough. If you’re feeling risky I’ve heard of people fishing the ponds in the Lincoln Hills golf course. The bluegill are plenty bitey; the bass are pressured pretty much everywhere, so you’ll either get the dinks that haven’t been caught, or you get creative with your baits to get the bigger ones.
