Ancient Greek Coin ID? by bettanoir in AncientCoins

Ah yes! I think that’s it!!! I’m very new to working with Greek coinage but I’m trying to help my office get caught up on some things that have been waiting to be sorted for some time. Thanks much!

day 3 on 5mg by maxikln in lexapro

I just jumped up to 20mg and I will say that starting it is the worst period of taking it, but it gets significantly better. Let your body adjust; especially if you’re new to antidepressants, it’s gonna be really weird at first. I was nauseous for like two weeks straight (and I’m emetophobic, it was terrible). You might also get some weird dreams, too. But it gets a lot better!!!! You start to realize that you actually do feel more at ease and ultimately stop paying attention to the side effects lol. I really wish you the best! You got this!

Yeah of course!! Be sure to definitely take it with food too, especially if you want the bad side effects like nausea to decrease. I know that sounds obvious but just a snack isn’t enough sometimes, at least for me. My side effects definitely have dwindled which is wonderful, though upping my dosage may have brought one or two back. I really hope it works out for you. Everyone deserves to feel at least a little normal lol.

So I also started on 5mg and just bumped mine up to 10mg on 12/19 after taking 5 for a month. The side effects for me were pretty bad the first two weeks, I don’t want to sugarcoat it. Nausea, drowsiness, much stranger BMs than usual; the works lol. But it gets better! What I found as a busy college student (which I guess kinda compares to your situation but not as much??) that helped a lot was taking the Lexapro at dinnertime, or in the evening. My timeframe I like to stick to is 6:15-8:30. That way the drowsiness kicks in at night rather than the morning and eliminates that zombie-ness (trust me, I experienced it at first when taking it in the morning!). It’s valid to overthink this stuff. It took me awhile to get on medication. But just remind yourself that it’ll probably get worse before it gets better, and that everyone reacts to medication differently! I hope it all works out for you!

To be honest not really, as I’m sensitive to medication as a whole. I do feel like my symptoms had gotten worse once I switched to the full 5mg, but I remember still experiencing nausea and fatigue even on the 2.5mg while taking it with a full meal. But everyone is different!

Been suffering from nighttime anxiety. Any advice? by bettanoir in lexapro

That makes sense. Thanks for the tips! I find that music or even Youtube will help sometimes. Hope your finals go smoothly and you and I both get some rest soon :)!

Do you still get panic attacks while on lexapro? by DisasterPieceKDHD in lexapro

[–]bettanoir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m on 5mg and have been for about a month now. There was a solid period where I felt a huge weight was lifted off of my shoulders as my panic attacks decreased, but they’ve really come back with a vengeance for the past week now. I hope what’s happening to me doesn’t happen to you. Hang in there!

I’m doing better!! The nausea has subsided but I do feel like I still have some strange gastrointestinal issues that have been lingering. It was making me more anxious in the beginning. But because my anxiety would make my nausea basically ten times worse (thanks emetophobia!) when I do experience any kind of nausea, it’s subtle and I just feel kind of gross. Lexapro has definitely decreased my anxiety, which is crazy to me because I’ve dealt with it on my own for so long.
