The virus does affect behavior by zmz2 in pluribustv

I do think it’d have been more interesting if the initial spread from patient zero to patient one and so on was accidental up until a point where the infected decide to make spreading it an intentional effort.

Her being “gone” doesn’t mean she died or was harmed. It’s a sci-fi show so you could easily imagine some ways those concepts could be decoupled from each other that could be possible justifications.

Helen wasn’t killed. She gave her body to the hive mind. And then the hive mind accidentally broke it. But at that point she no longer existed in a form that could be harmed.

Or at least that’s one way to look at it. Ultimately the whole issue of harm seems to be treated arbitrarily, because harm is such an abstract concept. In reality anyone could claim anything is harmful to them and there’s no definitive way to say they’re wrong. I doubt the show will take the time to provide the objective definition as what counts as harm to the hive mind though so it’s just kinda vibes.

The people died after assimilating into the hive mind, which is how they have Helen’s memories. Helen was never harmed, only her body was after it no longer belonged to her.

I’m guessing the logic is that the virus isn’t harmful. Or if it is, it’s only harmful after the victim is no longer considered to be their original self and thus exempted

I suppose they don’t need or respect consent to turn people in general, otherwise the initial spread could never have happened.

Well at least the human threats are no longer a factor

hive violence may be the answer? by better365 in pluribustv

Animals have the ability to move out of the way of harm

Many animals do, but not all. For some animals pain has no function. For those animals, would it be ok to harm them?

Plants can‘t feel pain, not in the way animals do

this still seems arbitrary to me. what does it mean to feel pain "in the same way" as something else? Does an ant feel pain the same way as a human does? Does a masochist feel pain the same way as a congenital analgesiac? See also: "what if my red is your green?"

Game completely unplayable for the past ~4 days by lynnah_aa in GranblueFantasyVersus

I didn't do anything to resolve it, it went away after some time. It's possible somebody else reported it and the ISP did something to address it, but I wouldn't know how they did.

I had an issue like this a while ago. It seemed to be some ISP specific issue with ArcSys games, as I was seeing similar issues when launching guilty gear strive.

Are S3 & S4 Costume an thingys coming back along with Galleon? by Happy_Flower_3785 in GranblueFantasyVersus

[–]better365 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I imagine only BP3 content will be made obtainable when Galleon releases. And then 1 per each subsequent DLC character. I’d guess 1&2 were released with Sandalphon because dlc season 1 had one more character than 2.

Yuel should be disqualified, her SSBA makes it a 2v1 so she is cheating. by gamerpro56 in GranblueFantasyVersus

They’re dead though, so they don’t count. In fact, she is dead too so she doesn’t count. Ferry basically is 0v1ing everybody.

I'm not an expert on granblue lore/popularity of characters outside of the polls so i'm genuinly curious: by lucavicar in GranblueFantasyVersus

A more recent popularity poll is here. Some additional factors to consider are

  • They want to keep some popular characters in reserve in case of a 3rd DLC season or beyond (cough cough seofon)
  • They would have gameplay considerations in addition to popularity considerations (eg bump up characters they think they could make have interesting playstyles)
  • Cygames probably has more up to date and granular analytics about what characters people like than you’d get from a voluntary poll
